515 31st Street, Oakland, CA
The Oakland Islamic Center was established in 1992. It has an Imam who leads the five daily prayers. The Mosque is also holding weekly Islamic lessons with silmantaneous English translation. Oakland Islamic Center is a non-profit organization that has been exempted from both state and federal taxes since January, 1998. The Mosque is now a sole property of the Muslim community and growing every year. The Oakland Islamic Center started the daily Iftar program in 1995. Since then it has been a huge success and some mosques are now adapting the idea. More than 150 people make Iftar in the mosque every night in Ramadan, and the number keeps increasing.

Very nice looking masjid both inside and outside. Nearby Halal markets and restaurants all in the same neighborhood. Limited parking, but can park in the neighborhood streets.

This masjid looks very nice. They have a nice women's section. It's spacious, it's clean and people are friendly.

Newly remodeled. Large women's area upstairs. Small enclosed space with windows for children. Elevator. Few parking spaces, most park on the streets around the mosque. Accessible by bus. Halaal butcher shop and Middle Eastern grocery store across the street.
