Barcelos opened its first store in Pretoria, South Africa in 1993. Using recipes mastered by the Portuguese hundreds of years ago, our flame grilled flavours became so popular that we franchised the business in 1998. Since then we have opened outlets in 16 countries including SA, Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Canada, UK, Dubai, Oman, Mauritius, Singapore, and soon in Pakistan, India & Qatar.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Selected Barcelos locations are certified Halal by ICSA.
The absolute worst service at the Barcelos. No rush to help customes. The cashier was pathetic. Zero customer service. While customers stand and wait for their food the kitchen becomes the biggest group chat where the cashier even joins in and the orders take forever. I will most definitely give it a skip next time.
