Had a really lovely lunch at 1819 Osaka. ( Ps: restaurant opens at noon ) We started with the King Oyster Mushroom Tempura with Matcha Hummus, and I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it that much. The mushroom was crispy outside, juicy inside, and there was a light sprinkle of chilli powder that gave it a nice little kick. That small punch of heat really made the dish pop. The matcha hummus was earthy and smooth - unique, but it worked beautifully. That starter… wow. The Chicken Gyoza was comforting and done right. Juicy filling, nicely pan-seared with that slight crisp at the bottom. Simple but satisfying. The Indonesian Fried Noodles with Beef was good too. It had that familiar sweet-savoury balance with a gentle spice in the background. The beef was tender and generous, and the noodles had that proper wok-fried aroma. Comfort food, through and through. For the main, we had the OMI Wagyu Cheeseburger (120g) — and this was wonderful. The wagyu was rich, tender, and full of flavour without being too heavy. You can really taste the quality in every bite. No chilli sauces for me as so as not to spoil the taste. What made the experience even better was the chef himself. He came out to have a chit chat with the guests, which we truly appreciated. Such a warm and wonderful guy. You can tell he genuinely cares about the food and the people dining there. Overall, relaxed atmosphere, great food, and heartfelt hospitality. We genuinely enjoyed our time and would happily come back again. Special Note : Musollah is available.
