Barcelos opened its first store in Pretoria, South Africa in 1993. Using recipes mastered by the Portuguese hundreds of years ago, our flame grilled flavours became so popular that we franchised the business in 1998. Since then we have opened outlets in 16 countries including SA, Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Canada, UK, Dubai, Oman, Mauritius, Singapore, and soon in Pakistan, India & Qatar.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Selected Barcelos locations are certified Halal by ICSA.
Its 9h27 The lady won't let me eat here. She says they only do take aways yet they close at 10pm. There's people still sitting. They just served a sitting couple. Its not a fine dining establishment i wont sit for hours. I wouldve been done eating in 10 minutes, 15 at most 🚮. But I must now take my food and eat on the campus benches in the cold. Not cool.
