1 Bedale St, Southwark, Greater London
Berenjak is a restaurant located in London's West End serving Persian cuisine. Our first restaurant opened on Soho’s Romilly Street back in 2018. In the years since, we’ve achieved more than we ever thought possible: we’ve opened restaurants around the world, cooked at weddings for our community and collaborated with brands we love. But, we don’t always get to share these stories with you.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Featured by Instagram channel @halalfoodtherapy. From the management: 'We do serve halal meat at all our London restaurants.'

I had been looking forward to trying Berenjak Borough for ages and was so pleased when I finally managed to get a reservation. If I'm honest, I was slightly worried it might be one of those places that's all hype and trend, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Yes, it's expensive, but in my opinion it's absolutely worth it. We started with the Sangak bread and Mirza Ghasemi, which was an incredible combination. The bread was fresh and perfect for scooping up the smoky, flavourful dip. For mains, we had the Jujeh Kebab Tond and the Chenjeh Kebab, and both were outstanding. The seasoning, the quality of the grill and the depth of flavour were exceptional. And the tomato, outstanding. Everything tasted beautifully cooked and full of character. The restaurant itself is quite small, but our counter seats were perfect for a party of two. Service was efficient and the food arrived surprisingly quickly without feeling rushed. One thing to note: the kebab portions are very generous, so don't get too carried away ordering as it can quickly become a lot of food! A fantastic meal from start to finish. I'd happily return and can see why Berenjak has such a loyal following.
