We came to Samat on a Sunday at around 11am and there was no crowd when we arrived. I think it was because the restaurant had just opened, so it was nice and quiet. We were seated immediately, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. For our meal, we ordered Stir-Fried Chicken Basil, Chicken Tom Yum, Omelette, Hot Coffee, Thai Milk Tea and 4 servings of rice. Our total bill came to 630 baht, which I found to be quite reasonable for the amount of food and drinks we had. Overall, the food was good and the portions were satisfying. The Stir-Fried Chicken Basil paired well with the rice, while the Chicken Tom Yum had a nice balance of spicy and sour flavours. The omelette was simple but complemented the other dishes nicely. As for the drinks, both the hot coffee and Thai milk tea were enjoyable and completed the meal well. The service was also okay and our food was served within a reasonable amount of time. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience at Samat. While nothing was particularly outstanding, the food was enjoyable, the environment was comfortable, and the pricing was fair. If you’re looking for a halal Thai restaurant with a quiet atmosphere, especially during opening hours, this is a place worth considering.
