Part of the Chaiiwala chain — see all 125 locationsChaiiwala began in Leicester in 2015 with a simple, almost stubborn idea: bring the cardamom-and-ginger karak our founders grew up with, the cup served in family kitchens and roadside dhabas across South Asia, to the British high street, properly. No syrups. No shortcuts. A seven-spice blend, whole milk, slow brewing, pulled long the way it’s done back home. The first store opened its doors in Leicester, and the queue made the case. People weren’t just looking for a chaii, they were looking for the cup that meant home. Ten years on, we’re 115 stores strong across the UK, Canada and growing, pouring over 100 million cups, and still brewing each one the way our founders learned in Mumbai.

I’m genuinely upset to be writing this, especially as a regular customer of the Becton- Gallions reach branch. This is now the third time my order has been wrong, and today’s experience really crossed the line. I ordered an omelette wrap with green chillies, tomatoes, and onions — and I paid for those extras. Instead, I received a wrap with cheese and tomatoes only. I never asked for cheese, and I’m actually allergic to it. That’s not just an inconvenience; that’s a serious health and safety risk. The first two times this happened, I didn’t make a fuss. I spoke to the girl at the till, who has always been lovely and professional. But at this point, it’s clear there’s a recurring breakdown in order accuracy and quality control. As a loyal customer, I expect the basics to be right and for my order to be safe to eat. I really hope the branch reviews their processes, because customers shouldn’t have to double-check every item to avoid an allergic reaction. I love your food, which makes this all the more disappointing. I’m hoping this feedback drives some real improvements moving forward.
Don’t usually get the breakfast from here and I definitely wouldn’t recommend or get it again. The toast was stale and the rashers had a really strange ‘off’ taste and seemed extremely overdone. They weren’t edible. However our drinks were great and the service / staff were lovely.
To be honest chaiwala is hands-down one of my favorite places in town, The chai was strong and flavorful. I also ordered loaded fries and wrap which was very delicious. Great hospitality and quick service by mashooq. A must visit to spend quality time with friends and family.
A regular of customer or chaiiwala, I come to this brand and few others at-least 2-3 times a month. The eating area is clean and the food is always a good standard, the server Afifa is amazing, she is so polite and always gives 10/10 service they’re really lucky to have her serving customers, the only thing is I really would appreciate if the customer toilets were more clean, having a 3 year old she needs to use the toilet frequently, the toilets are really not appealing at all and doesn’t look good, please clean and improve the state of the toilets!
Chaiwala usually is a good experience for me until i tried their english-ish breakfast, the egg stank! And the rashers were not edible, definitely not coming back! Having said that they’re kadak coffee is one of the best drinks.
