Can not go wrong with their steaks, ribs and chicken, burgers are ok, they come with salad and chips, salad is not even a handful. Abit pricey too but does not stop the local and regular customers from visiting.

I used to love this place, unfortunately, my last visit meant we came away with an empty stomach. I am very sorry to say that I have had a very unpleasant experience at Big Moe's recently, me and my family are regular customers that in times when they are busy we even have take-aways as we have always enjoyed and loved the food. Unfortunately on a late November weekday afternoon we walked in to see Big Moe's relatively quiet, where we asked for a booth, our party was only 3 in number but my request for a bit of privacy as my wife was feeding our 3 month old baby was denied even though booths were available, I even saw two booths, 1 had a couple, the other had a group of 3. I acknowledge that at busy periods it may not be feasible for a small party to occupy a booth however in the past we have even taken the alternative of sitting the corner tables however today I was soo aggrieved that I didn't even want this option as well as the fact that my wife would need to breast feed our young Child, I spoke to one of the managers, and I explained to her that we had come before and the same person refused a booth but another person was able to provide a booth, she then asked the person that refused us a booth he still refused, and even though there was a booth available he asked us if we could wait, at which point I really didn't want to wait any longer. I wish you all the best in your business and i am sorry to say that i think it is important for others with young children to know how willing your staff members are to refusing suitable seating even at less busy times.

Assalamu Alaikum, I felt like I really needed to leave a review for this place. Firstly I would like to say For practicing brothers and sisters, or veiled women, this place isn't right for you, one, because they play music, and also there aren't any booths. But you can eat under your niqab as the seats are very high but the waiters can see you when they come round. Me and my husband went to Big Moe's after the great reviews and recommendations, so we were expecting decent food at the very least. We're not picky eaters and we say Alhamdulilah and eat it but we do care about value for money. This place is definitely not value for money! We were incredibly disappointed with the food. We spent forty pounds on meals that had the ingredients which cost about five pounds. And most, if not all was just fried pre made products, jalapeno bombers for example can be found in supermarkets, as can the mozzarella sticks, onion rings and potato skins with cheese. You get more of it in supermarket packs actually. I only got two potato skins for about 4 pounds and I could have made both those starters at home. It was not special in anyway. Next came my hot dog, which was essentially a fried sausage in a bun with fried onion which cost us a whopping 6 pounds plus. My husbands chicken burger was okay, but he could have had 3 nicer chicken burgers from a fastfood shop for that price, 8 pounds it was! We were expecting a very large burger, but it was standard size with a standard taste and not very tasty chips. Then the deserts, the milkshakes were just milk with cream on top and a piece of kinder beuno floating on top. Did not taste like the chocolate bar at all. And the ice cream was okay. The place looks authentic, and is very clean and The service was good though, polite and accommodating. But this place is over priced and over hyped, they imitated everything from an American diner except the taste and the portion sizes, and you could have a better, value for money in other places which also serve 100 percent meat burgers for a fraction of the price here, and that are muslim friendly too. This is a completely honest and not exaggerated review of our experience, I really wanted it to be good, but unfortunately it wasn't. I agree with others, save your money and go elsewhere. Massalam.

Hi, I found this diner to be a great venue for a child's party. The staff were very friendly and helpful and created a great environment, so making it a great experience for all, adults included. The food was fantastic and fresh. The chips were chunky and tasted great. The burgers were also very filling and juicy! The milkshakes and floats were all fab too. The only dud point was the chicken nuggets, cheap, processed super market ones. they should really change them so they are on par with the rest of the menu. It was a bit pricey but the portions were big and the atmosphere and decor were fantastic. We would def. go again! hope this helps.

My daughter took me to this diner for my birthday on Wednesday afternoon. I decided to have a fish burger. My daughter had the beef burger. The fish burger was horrible. More batter or breadcrumbs I tasted and no fish. I wasnt impressed at all. I mentioned this to the person who served me, and she just smiled and apologised. The burger my daughter had, was not too bad. The service was not good. We had a long wait for the food, and when it came, we had to ask for knife and forks which she brought after. We expected better food for the high price we paid. Not good at all, and we wont be coming there to eat in the future. I would rather go to the Mc Donalds and eat their fish burgers, as when you eat one of theirs, you want another one, and another one. Their fish burger is much more better. You are getting a real fish burger there, and not crumbs to eat. What was inside of your burger anyway? Didnt know what I was eating. Very bad indeed! My daughter's money was wasted! SORRY TO SAY SO, BUT IT IS THE TRUTH!

It was recommended to me so I decided to go on Tuesday evening with a couple of friends. Staff was very friendly and helpful, just what you expect: attentive but not intrusive. We order burgers and a rack of ribs and it was delicious, generous portions and tasted "fresh" too. Chips looked weird but tasted great. But I think the strength of this place lies in two areas: - awesome theme - awesome desserts, the shakes and sundaes were massive, to die for ! Will definnitely go back, wery welcoming place... will definitely recommend it !

AVOID THIS PLACE! Unless you want to waste your money that is... The service was average and when the food came out, it was under seasoned and bland. I am shocked with the price tag that comes with every item on that menu. They seemed to have made a lot of wasted effort with the decor, but they failed miserably with the food. The salad was brown at the edges! My most disappointing moment was dessert. I ordered banana and ice-cream on waffles and be aware - you don't get a scoop of ice-cream from the lovely looking ice-cream counter! You get a horrendous 'whipped-cream' from a machine. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MONEY! I let them know that I would not be returning again.

I was the last if my friends to go and must say I should have gone earlier. I think this is a franchise from the states as everything down to the uniform was authentic. Food was great and must say I've never tasted a burger quiet like big Moes. I disagree with some comments about price. I believe in paying for quality And quality is what I got both in food and service. Only downside the place was packed and I waited 15mins for a table. Once seated it my wait was worth it. Too anyone thinking of going please try the diner mite burger. Class!

Judging by the reviews Big Moe's Diner can be a bit hit and miss. Overall, I think our visit was a bit of a miss. When seated, we were ignored by all staff for no other reason than no one knew who was meant to be taking our order. At one time, we had four waiters around us moving tables but no order being taken. When we did get to order, the food came out in about 2-3 minutes (if that). Given that it was a large order, I question how freshly made it was. The chips were soggy and the burger was dry. On pluses, the ribs were nice as were the onion rings (probably our favourite thing). The price was pretty reasonable too. I'd probably go again but in no rush based on our first experience.

I went their today (Saturday) with a few of my friends. We arrived around 7pm and the place was PACKED! I was told by the waiter that the wait would be around 20 mins. We waited and got out seats! Whilst waiting my friends and I did notice that this place has been put together VERY WELL. I'm no historian but yeah as far as I was concerned I was in 1950s America. The place bright, clean and looking around people seemed to be having a good time. ok the food..... Overall 5/5! this was agreed by all my mates. We all went for various different burgers and found the meat quality to be fantastic. The size of these things were huge and after eating them I felt like I was big moe! I agree with one of the other reviewers, if you want cheap crap then go to Macdonalds, this was GOOD FOOD. I'm not saying it was gonna help with my diet but you could tell it was full or rubbish like other places. The service was also very good. Although every single table was full the staff still had the time to check on us often calling us sir which was a nice touch. They were atentative and we felt like honoured guests. I will definitely go again and will take my wife and kids as it is a good environment. My only concern is that I hope these guys can keep it up to such a high standard. A slip would be a shame but carry on as you are and you will do very well. Big moe is officially my new best friend!

I was looking for something new to take my three friends to dinner and came accross Big Moe's while surfing on your website. At first I was hesitant because of the mix of good and bad reviews but decided to try it anyway... I must say I was pleasantly suprised, the staff was very friendly, checking on us regularly, the food was really good, especially the shakes and desserts with a special mention for the wafles (two of my friends weren't muslim but really enjoyed the burgers and turkey bacon) and the atmosphere was really nice with Elvis music and nice decoration through out. It is true though that we waited a bit to receive our milkshakes at the beginning but were regularly updated by the staff. I must say that anyway people shouldn't consider it as a fast food but rather as an american themed restaurant. If you want to come, order, eat and leave... I'd recommend you go to Mc Donald's :)) I will definitely go again... and pass the word !

I went to Big Moe's and the food was excellent. The portions were huge and after a three course meal I was becoming delusional due to the amount of food I had eaten! The staters were very tasty, the steak solid and the dessert was just too big to finish so it was a shame to waste! Went with a group of friend so used the VIP room, which was quirky and offered excellent privacy. Had free WiFi as well which allowed me to keep in touch with the footie scores and browse the web as I waited for the food to arrive. Would definitely recommend anyone who has not been there to check it out.

I am not a BLOGGER and simply don't have the time for GOSSIP. However, the below reviews to a great new eatery does it no justice, which compelled me to write that which I believed and experienced. Fast food industry generally is so fast paced, that occasional errors will occur, thus leading to staff having to apologize for and go out of their ways to give exemplary service from that point on. Big Moes is a delight in the atmosphere and indeed enjoyable food and service. The staff whenever possible used the phrases "please," "you're welcome" and "thank you." I was also called "Sir" and my mother and wife were called "Ma'am." we felt very welcomed and warmly hosted. I also noticed the staff cheerful, helpful face expiration, wiliest performing their duties a sign that they are happy doing the job. On occasions the staff approached us to ask if we needed anything else, which was nice of them as they did not cut us off from ordering additional once we were served. They made sure we were catered for with all our needs. We left feeling happy, respected & satisfied. For sure will be going back. Big Moes Food really comes into its own is with its all-American 50s atmosphere. From the moment you step through the door you feel as though the clock went back to the 50s, Big Moes successfully captured the 50s theme and successfully served American Halah food. We sampled their food and desserts Both were delicious: pleasant, inexpensive and I would absolutely recommend Dinamite Burger. What makes it even more palatable is knowing that the food is 100% none processed meet. In my opinion, if they can lift the level of cooking just a SINGLE notche, they will achieve the rare distinction of being a restaurant where you can talk, look and eat in comfort and style without feeling, as with so many other places which have opened recently, that you have to qualify in some way just to be allowed through the front door. Very well-done and hope to see more Big moes around.

Honestly it is the best place ive been in a long a time excellent fresh halal (everything) food. Great service and the staff is always smiling. Highly recomended... for family's- child friendly atmosphere : No strange looks from staff for kids being kids Finger-licking meals- my kids favourite Jumbo hot dogs with those cheesy curly fries, personaly mummy hasn't found favourite yet as all meals I've ate so far is just too tasty to stick to only one, though I would admit those Buffalo wings still call me back when I'm not near. Big Moe's are so unique with their Juicy burgers each I've tried never disappoints from beginning to end! last but oh so not least is the Delicious desserts I have when I cant recommend a specific one yet cos I'm still trying out one by one on each visit.....all so so yummy! On last visit we ate @ Big Moe's popped over to cinema then returned back for desserts, my family and I had a really fantastic time. My family loves this place. Good fresh tasty cooking at very decent prices with a casual atmosphere. We cant wait to come again:-)) Great food great atmosphere. Thanks you 4 making it happen Big Moe's we cant wait to see you again soon

Being an Arab we have lots of American Diners throughout the Middle East and i am familiar with good quality burgers , so when searching for one online and after seeing some of the bad reviews I almost decided not to come! However, I am so glad i did, My wife and I are meat fanatics and they served us with hand pressed burgers which were not processed at all -my guests ordered Rib Eye steaks which they said were the best they've had- contrary to what previous reviewers mentioned. I also asked for the management to explain why they dont serve tap water and again i was satisfied to know that their water is treated to protect their machinery - so its not advised for people to consume this. I eat out regularly and I would rate them as follows Customer Service: 10/10 Ambience:10/10 Music: 7/10 (Dont Like Elvis) Food: 10/10 Deserts: 10/10 I think these guys have purchased a franchise from America, But even then they have replicated the !950's look very well but what we should all be giving them credit for is they have kept it Halal with NO ALCHOL and excellent food quality - By the way what else is really convenient Big Moe's is located next door to a Cinema complex so you can make a day out of it with the kids My family and I plan to become regulars !

Went there last week and I must admitt the place, the decor and the atmosphere was very nice, but food and service was 3rd degree. It took 20 min our order to be taken and a further 50 min for the food to be served. half of our starters arrived after the main course. The food was thrown in front of us without any cutlery so that caused another 15 min before we were given the knifes and forks. I ordered a CLASSICAL AMERICAN BURGER which was suppose to be 100% pure beef but was only prossesed meat. Overall all experience was 2/10 and would not visit again nor would recommend anyone else to visit.

Just took my Big Family to Big Moe's, What can i say finally what we needed in London something Halal yet of this Calibre. I have never written a review before but writing this one because i hope they open many more My wife and children are extremely fussy eaters the can put any restaurant to the test ! yet they were over the moon - We order the signature Dinamite Burger and Barbaque Ribs and for the kids we ordered kids Beef burgers, we all had our favourite Chocolate bar milkshakes which took a little longer than expected because the were really busy - The Taste made up for it though. You could taste the quality of the meat but the portions were to big and we felt bad we could'nt finish all of our food This is a cool really place to be really lifted my spirits Attention to detail is excellent - the only advise i would give is avoid the weekends as its really busy ! upto 45 mins wait for a table Happy DIning ;-)

Went here with big expectations, taking a big group of 24. On THAT occassion the food arrived in a reasonable time. Had the big hot dog and dyner-mite burger and steak... the hot dog is superb, the other two were ok. However, we went back in a smaller group a week later and ended up waiting 30mins before our order was taken and a further 30mins before food arrived, thats ONE HOUR waiting doing nothing! Some of the reviewers here are correct; the food is nice and authentically American, but expect massive delays due to staff incompetency or the excuse that was give to us "We have missing staff"?!? If their staff problem improves i'll be sure to go again for their Big Moe's challenge!

The staff were polite and friendly, however they were not very organised or competent. They asked us to wait ten minutes and then after that a further five minutes before they would even take our order - that is unforgivable, for what is supposed to be fast food AND a place that offers a drive-through service. The food is a little on the pricey side for what it is: - £1.45 for an espresso, which was actually instant coffee is a down-right con! - The ice-cream sundaes were over £6. - The fries looked old, tired and burnt, but actually tasted okay. - The chicken tikka burger was bland and tasteless. - The burger was okay, but nothing special. - They were out of stock of chicken strips - They were out of stock of beef bacon and so offered a bacon burger with no bacon, which is crazy - The side salad was wilted lettuce (going slightly brown), tinned sweet corn and ONE cherry tomato - As mentioned before by someone else, they would not offer tap water, for one of our group, who wanted to take his medicine - The dessert took an absolute eternity to arrive and it was just ice-cream, with a bit of sauce. This is an example of a food place that can only survive on the fact that they serve halal food in a non-Muslim country, so Muslims are grateful, will shut-up, put-up and make excuses for all of the faults. However, I feel slightly like an exploited customer as a result. It's not rocket science - it's burgers and fries... but the way we had to wait and the rest, you'd think we'd ordered some hard to source, high-class gourmet dishes. This may seem like a long rant and I don't normally. But, having just spent £99.30 taking my family out to this place, I'm feeling that I could've got much better value for money at somewhere like a certain Portuguese chicken chain and I probably would have £35 left over in my pocket. They do real coffee, free refills on sodas, more sauces etc... Having said all of this, the atmosphere was cool. The seating was comfortable and quirky. Go once for the experience, but I doubt you'll want to go again (until they iron out these problems)

We were very excited when we got the email about Big Moe's diner and decided to take a chance and drive to the other side of London to check it out. Big mistake! The waiter messed up almost all our orders, from the side orders to the main meals. Furthermore, the customer service was totally lacking from the management to the normal waiters. Also they had strange rules like not giving tap water to us as they said it was against company policy. We were given replacement by which time some of the steaks were unavailable, then when things seemed to improve slightly as we were then upgraded to the vip room, however we kept being reminded of the favour of being seated in a VIP room, although it was offered for the mistakes with the ordered, making us feel very uncomfortable, things then took a turn for the worst: we were offered 3 complimentary deserts which were retracted to only one by the time the bill came. During this whole period we felt very uncomfortable with the management, who seemed to be trying to help but didn't deliver and had an underlying aggressive attitude and certainly didn't believe in the saying: the customer is always right!. We were very disappointed and will certainly never be returning. It failed in every avenue apart from the interior. But then again what are looks with out substance?!?

From the outset, I thought the place looked very good. Nicely decorated, feels like you're in an American dinner. But stop there, the food is absolutely terrible, the burger had sauces and curly fries etc which was so overloaded, made me want to puke. I have had better fries in my local chicken and chip shop. They have the worst Rib's and hot dogs you could possibly imagine, and the buffalo wings absolutely terrible. Anyone who appreciates good food, please don't waste your money. Overall a horrible overpriced dining experience.

I was invited to Big Moe's Diner for a meal by some friends. I found the place totally unique in tems of its theme (American 50s diner complete with the Elvis music!) and the food was very good too. Not a massive fan of the chips but everything else was spot on, especially the burgers. A little bit pricey for my liking but when you consider the huge portion sizes and high quality of the food (which is HMC certified) I would say it's well worth it. Also parking is no problem whatsover, and that's a big plus point in my opinion.

Nearly £9 for my burger. Good tender meat though - HMC i think. Ribs were tasty.Burger was ok but side orders were over cooked, dry and not exactly hot. Chips looked like they had been left for quite sometime before they got to me. Sauces were boring. All else was fine. Atmosphere good - staff v friendly. Seating arranged well for some privacy. Its a new place - hopefully they'll improve on sauces (for burger and for chips) so yes, will visit again. Above average rating given for overall experience & food - burger and ribs only.. Oh and for cleanliness. A nice place to visit in Newham-was v busy on weekend.
