Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From the management: 'Bay Area locations have halal carved chicken, halal carved lamb and beef, and halal grilled chicken kebab. San Diego, LA, Austin, and Orange County locations have halal carved lamb and beef. We understand and respect that the issue of Halal food can be quite complex, and there are a range of opinions surrounding this issue. I recently dined in at The Kebab Shop, and I have to say, the food was pretty good definitely better than I expected. I was really impressed by the flavors and the variety on the menu. The chicken and lamb kebabs were perfectly spiced, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere wasn’t anything special it’s set up in a large parking lot, so it’s not exactly cozy, but it’s practical. There is outside seating. Still, the prices were very reasonable, and for the quality, it’s a great value. The shop is also wheelchair accessible and kid-friendly, which is a huge plus. I appreciated that there were free refills on the drinks—such a nice touch! The service was decent efficient and polite, though not over the top. Overall, I’d definitely recommend The Kebab Shop if you’re looking for a solid, flavorful meal at a fair price.
