To the editors, the menu here is not entirely halal. The non-pizza dishes here are entirely halal, and they are clearly labeled as such. I've had both their beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches, and both are excellent (though I prefer the beef). They have an array of salsas to accompany the sandwiches, and they really do add a ton of flavor. These are very much above-average shawarmas, as good as any shawarmas I've had anywhere. I've been in SLO two days, and visited here consecutive days. It's that good. They also serve pizza here, and while several of their pizzas are halal, not all of their pizzas are halal. The pepperoni, canadian bacon, and sausage here are not halal. I've had the chicken shawarma and gyro pizzas (both halal), and while the pizza is good, the real star of the show here is the shawarmas. If this place were fully halal, I would give it five stars. But, they do serve alcohol, and again, not all of their pizzas are halal, which can result in confusion. Still, this is my favorite restaurant in SLO.
