This place has the best hot chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. The Sando with medium plus spice is soooooooo good. The hot is legitimately hot with a mix of Carolina reaper and ghost pepper. If you can handle really spicy food, the hot can be managed with a milkshake.
Is it a little bit kitschy? Yes. Does it know exactly who it is, what it’s good at, and how to deliver it? Also yes. This spicy chicken sandwich is killer, but definitely something to save for cheat day. I opted for the coleslaw over the fries, but it works better in the sandwich than as a stand-alone side. The creamy sauce is a must to cut the heat of the chicken, and it makes for an honest home-run of a combo. The decor is hotdog-on-stick-meets-retro-gamer-boy-aesthetic, which is fun but also not somewhere I’d go for a first date. My server was a goth/scene college kid who was almost too unbothered to serve me, which honestly sold the vibe as a diner that kinda cool because it’s so uncool. I loved it. Will be back!!
