Basha is a pioneer of Lebanese fast-food in Canada, founded in Montreal in 1977 by Chef Fadl Issa. The restaurant chain revolutionized the Canadian quick-service industry by introducing a transparent "what you see is what you eat" buffet-style setup, allowing customers to customize their meals with freshly prepared ingredients. Today, Basha operates numerous locations across Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, and is widely celebrated for serving traditional Middle Eastern favorites such as shawarma, shish taouk, falafel, hummus, and tabouli.

Basha is one of my favorite spots in Vancouver. Their donair is honestly the best I’ve had in the city. The meat is flavorful, the portion is generous, and everything tastes fresh and satisfying. The owners are also very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If you’re looking for a great donair place in Vancouver, I highly recommend Basha. Definitely worth trying!
