solid place for takeout in these pandemic times. its in a plaza with free available parking good prices and plenty of food for each order i like their gyro platter more than shwarma platter for taste. comes with rice and salad their 1/2 chicken is also good - butterflied and grilled served with rice or fries they also have indo-pak items like seekh kabab and chapli kebab.

After many months of anticipation, Gyro King & Grill opened it\'s doors yesterday with the Deputy Mayor Joe Camarota of South Brunswick cutting the ribbon with the owners of Gyro King & Grill. At the door was welcomed by their friendly staff, started to take pics and noticed they had a filter for their grand opening which was really cool. As soon as I walked into the restaurant I realized this isn\'t like other Gyro spots, they have put in a lot of detail and attention to their interior and presentation. The first wall had two huge LED screen TV\'s which were playing cricket matches the whole time I was there. The wall with the TV\'s was made of turf and there were cricket balls all throughout the wall. A very unique and cool decor to a restaurant that is a cricket themed restaurant. The other wall had pictures of food and different landmarks, which was equally as nice to the cricket themed wall. Then at the counter the menu was displayed on monitors everything here is caught up with the times and the menu itself had a lot of choices. On to the food, while waiting in line for the Grand Opening the workers gave out free samples of Falafels and honestly I\'ve never been that big on Falafels till I tried the ones here. They were amazing, I got a few samples just couldn\'t stop with one! I ordered the Mix Shawarma Platter and also got a Free Chicken Gyro platter for being one of the first 200 customers. The Chicken Gyro Platter was one of the best Chicken Platters i\'ve ever had. The Chicken, Rice, and toppings were all fresh and delicious. Needed to save room for what I ordered so only ate a few bites, saved the rest for later. On to the Mix Shawarma Platter this platter is beyond words! Wow just wow both the chicken and lamb were amazing! The sauces and toppings were all great with the platter. Im quite particular with Shawarmas, I\'ve been to Dearborn and Paterson many times just for Shawarmas, but the Shawarma I had here may just be the best I\'ve ever had. This has turned into a very long post, so I\'ll just summarize the rest till my next visit. The staff, decor, and food all were above expectations. This restaurant has everything you are looking for and I am glad I was one of the first ones to experience it. There are a lot more items on the menu which I plan on checking out in the coming weeks and can\'t wait to go back!
