Our family-run Potrero Hill & Marina eatery was founded in 2018 to serve flavorful halal homestyle dishes with a modern twist. Nestled in the heart of Potrero Hill & the Marina district, Cracked & Battered is San Francisco's coziest, most honest brunch restaurant. We serve up a range of savory and sweet dishes. From everyone's favorite classics, like fried Chicken & Waffles and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, to new discoveries such as Nasi Goreng and Shakshouka; our delicious creations will never leave you hungry. As a local, family-run eatery, we put both fresh ingredients and our love for cooking into every homestyle meal we whip up. Whether you join us for brunch, order delivery, or swing by for pick up, we look forward to sharing our rich flavors with you!

Hands down some of the best fried chicken I\'ve had! Best part is the food is halal (except the turkey and turkey bacon for now) and the owners are super friendly! I got the fried chicken biscuits and my friends got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was super juicy and the biscuits were so soft it really made the whole thing work. I also tried the waffle and you can taste the quality! This blog post featured Cracked and Battered and included a few tips as well!: https://blog.usejournal.com/ultimate-halal-food-guide-for-the-san-francisco-bay-area-faf217fcab60 I high recommend this new spot especially for those who only eat halal and can\'t get fried chicken easily :) They get their meat from buy-rite and hopefully will open later in the day. Make sure to reserve on yelp. It took us an hour to get in but it was worth it.
If you are a young muslim, this will likely be one of your favorite restaurants in the bay area, if not your top favorite. They have a wide range of breakfast and lunch foods on their menu, and everything they do, they do well. The main attraction is their chicken and waffle which is fantastic. We also tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, chicken wings, fried chicken benedict, and hummus - all really really good. A little pricier than your typical halal place but the quality is up there. There were a few other muslim parties in there, and you could overhear the enthusiasm on how this is a unique place for halal food. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
