I love the Leicester branch and was looking forward to visiting this new branch in Birmingham. The parking lot is spacious but needs work done to it as there's a lot of trip hazards and not very safe to walk through. The first impression was good, friendly, and welcoming. Staff looked young and inexperienced but were eager to please. Dynamite prawns weren't as good as the other branches, but the rest of the food was good enough. Jimmys, as always, is overpriced, but worth it as it saved us the drive down to Leicester.
Very good quality and quantity and amazing atmosphere with prayer room as well (Not as excellent as Leicester branch but very expected as they have just opened so not fair to compare). They also listen and care which is very good. We mentioned that the prawns were not as spicy as expected so they served extra spicy prawns for free. I would definitely recommend and will go there again very soon inshallah
Service was unacceptable Staff had no clue on anything- literally admitted having random people who weren't trained to cover for staff missing. Food took 55 minutes. Even then that was the adults food and kids where left to wait. Chased the food multiple times told 10 minutes each time. My daughter was in tears which was made aware to the manager! After 45 minutes waiting waiting food and complaining twice we had a waitir come over and ask how the food was?? Spoke to a manager didn't really help. Multiple food items didn't arrive but was still added to the total. The best the manager offered us as compensation was free ice cream which was not nice at all. Paid full price although the staff told us they was understaffed and brought in random people to help out. This should have been reflected in the final bill. I'm happy to tip when service is on par. I've been to the Manchester branch and was very excited to know jimmys would be closer to my home town. I won't be visiting again!!!!!
Absolutely loved it! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was spot on, welcoming, warm, and lively. The prawns were Next level! Perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. I went for one of their platters, and it was HUGE – amazing value for the price. The sauces they serve with the prawns were unreal. Also, the lamb chops were mouth watering. The staff were super friendly, always smiling, and checked in without being overbearing. Honestly, the whole experience was fantastic, and I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re into seafood, you need to check this place out.
Absolute disaster, waiters and waitresses kept bringing us the wrong food. Mains came out before starters. Food extremely bland and tasteless. Prawns were refusing to come out of their shells, I ended up eating more shell than prawns because they were impossible to take apart without it all coming apart in pieces. We spent over £100 and left the place still hungry, a £5 dixy meal would've been better. I understand they just opened but that does not mean you dish out horrible food. That said, the Leicester branch is on point and only worth going to that one. And please if you're going to continue to stay open, give the staff some proper training and sack the chefs for sure and re-hire. Would I return again? NEVER!!
