Every time we go there the food is amazing, service is great and they always have good Turkish wines. Dogs are welcomed.
Very nice restaurant in the heart of Heidelberg with good food, friendly service and beautiful cosmopolitan ambiance. We tried the calamari, the yogurt dip and the fried eggplant as appetizers and they did not disappoint. The yogurt dip was a bit flat and the calamari were tasty but looked cheap. The main dishes with the mixed grill, cheesy baked kebab and a salad with lamb were also tasty but nothing spectacular. As dessert we tried ice cream with hot raspberries and the Künefe with ice cream. The ice cream was good and the Künefe was also tasty but didn't look very appealing and was missing the pistachios. Overall a very solid experience with good food, friendly but slow service, but not outstanding.
I asked for the meat platter and got a carb platter. People working there are nice but prices scam you out of your money the restaurant was empty probably for good reason. Wouldn’t recommend.
Every dish is so perfect. Such a great experience. Super recommended. We also love the atmosphere around here. Very valuable restaurant to try in Heidelberg.
If I wanted to take my guests to a real good Turkish restaurant in Heidelberg, this is the place I used to go. But my most recent visit turned out to be a disaster. The starter was good, to be fair. But the main dish was unbearably disgusting. We ordered an oven backed lamb dish—I will not comment on the quality of the lamb, because the restaurant bought the lamb from somewhere else—and it taste like the lamb was boiled or steamed, and then applied with sources, rather than backed in the oven. It was a total disaster, you don’t have to be an expert if Turkish food to tell how horrible it is! You can tell the eggplant is the same eggplant they use in the starter, not baked in the over with the lamb and tomatoes etc. I’m not coming back here again!
