GoogleDear Popeyes Team, I am writing to formally share my experience at your Popeyes location, which unfortunately was disappointing and fell below expected customer service, food quality, and service standards. Today, I visited Popeyes with my fiancée and used a discount voucher to order the $16.99 combo. I paid a total of $19.20 and waited approximately 15 minutes to receive our order, which consisted of 12 pieces of bone-in chicken wings and fries. Upon tasting the food, we immediately noticed that the chicken was excessively salty. While a few pieces were acceptable, the majority were extremely salty to the point of being uncomfortable to consume. As a professional sous chef, I understand that seasoning inconsistencies can happen, so I calmly and politely approached the counter to inform the staff, starting the conversation respectfully. The initial response from the staff member was, “No other customer has complained.” This response was quite surprising and discouraging, as it felt dismissive of my concern as a paying customer rather than an attempt to understand or resolve the issue. I was first offered sauces, which did not help reduce the saltiness, and later offered chicken tenders. I agreed to try three pieces of chicken tenders; however, they were also noticeably salty. During this entire process, we remained in the restaurant for over 30 minutes, and no staff member followed up to ask whether the replacement food was satisfactory. Due to concerns about the excessive salt level, we chose not to consume most of the chicken. We left approximately 8–10 pieces of chicken on the table, as we neither wanted to eat them nor throw the food into the garbage unnecessarily. More importantly, I was genuinely concerned that consuming such overly salty food could potentially make someone unwell, especially customers with health concerns such as high blood pressure. What further concerned me was the tone and body language during the interaction, which gave the impression that my genuine concern was being interpreted as an attempt to obtain free food. This assumption, combined with the lack of empathy, follow-up, and professionalism, made the experience uncomfortable. This was my first visit to Popeyes, influenced by my fiancée’s positive experiences at Popeyes locations in countries such as Greece and Turkey. Unfortunately, this visit has left a very negative impression and will likely be our last. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and used to improve food consistency, staff training, and customer service practices, as customers should feel heard and respected when raising legitimate concerns—especially those related to food quality and safety. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Rahul Ravindran
