I went to this restaurant while on a weekend trip to Kingston. We walked in to the restaurant and were told the chef will be back in a few minutes. After almost 30 minutes, the chef came in and then started to ACTUALLY cook the food. We then waited another 30-40 minutes before the food was prepared. >the food was bland >no flavour or spice at all >not sure what we were eating >even the children were making faces >Not even sure if it was Halal (no signs) *I am not sure how anybody can give this place (cannot even refer to it as a restaurant) more than 1 star*

If you add pepper to a can of tomato soup you too can have your own version of this disappointment. Horrible really. Hot enough but spinach and cheese curry is usually green looking not a can of tomato soup spiced up. No cheese, no favour, grease would have been an improvement. The people that like this place must have really inexperienced palettes or be related to the owners.

Went to Rahims again after almost 4 years. Rahim bhai did not let us down. The Chicken Biryani was yummy.. plenty of boneless chicken. The Lahori Chicken was great and so was the Paneer Mutter. Each had its own flavour. The parathas were fresh, soft and delicious. Rahimbhai, we will be visiting Kingston again just for your food (Its only a two and a half hour drive!)

I went there 3 years ago and it was close for personal reason and went there again and it's still close. I wonder how they run their business, close all the time.

This is suppose to a halal restaurant but all the staff is non Muslim. There are no halal signs and no trace of any islamic signs inside. We ordered medium hot food but the food was so spicy that we couldn't eat most of it. The service was poor and drinks came with green particles floating inside. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Good variety. Food tasty and spicy. Delivery service available. Location not ideal for walk-up crowd Interio could use a little updating.

Google Reviewer
GoogleCame in on a snowy Boxing Day night, at 8 pm, when most restaurants were closed. Excellent and delicious food, at a great price and at a Kingston family owned restaurant. My wife, myself and our 15 year old daughter thouroughly enjoyed it! The food was cooked fresh while I waited (pick-up) and was not pre-cooked or simply reheated. The serving in meat was generous. They actually had dishes with lamb, which other restaurants did not have. Thank you for adjusting the spiciness level, per my request, to ultra mild. The bonus cookies were a nice touch. I came in after reading the reviews .... it is sad that most satisfied customers do not leave a positive review. Rather, there are quite a few from pseudo-perfeccionists and pseudo-purists, as well as price hagglers .... and then there are the ones that are quite disturbing and actually merit a complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) as they are highly age discriminatory (a human rights violation) .... who think they epithomize perfection by assuming that they will be young forever! In a nutshell, a well deserved 5 star rating!
