From 2013-2015, I spent 2-3 weeks twice a year in Bonn for work. I stayed in Bad Godesberg a few times and I would pop into this place to eat sometimes. It has a wide selection but I stuck to a chicken kebab dish after having 2-3 other items and finding them all lacking in flavour. Typical of most of the Halal place in Bonn, I found the staff with the exception of one or two persons to be rather unpleasant. It gets quite busy and generates a lot of traffic because it is next to the train station.
I always wanted to try this place. So after almost a decade living here and today we tried it for the first time. It all because my son told us "let's try this Arabic restaurant". (I haven't go through the google review so we just randomly walk into this restaurant without knowing what to expect) They welcome us with contagious smiles. We weren't sure how and what to order and was surprised at the portion for 1 people. The staff so polite and nice saying "it's ok take your time". They served us soups, and unlimited crispy bread which our kids loved it. We ordered lamb kottlet platter with rice for 4 of us but my husband wanting to order 2nd plate since he found it delicious and not enough. The waiter always checks on us if everything is fine. It took us a while for 2nd plate to arrive and they gave us complimentary couscous as a service recovery. We finished everything and wanted to leave. But the waitress stopped us and gave us another complimentary dessert. We couldn't get the name of the dessert. My husband liked it a lot. I am happy since everyone is happy and they handed over another complimentary lollipop for my kids. How can they make money by giving so much. Perhaps it is our rezq for today. The only drawback is the payment option. Only cash. But it's ok there is a nearby ATM machine. This is not just a restaurant it feels like home where you feel comfortable. Thank you so much for making our first time experience memorable and definitely will come back again. We pray for your success and future endeavours.

Had a great experience at Al Saffa Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and to top it off, they generously offered us free tea and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent throughout. Even the toilet was clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. Definitely worth a visit!
One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Germany. Hands down. We visited on a Sunday, and despite the busyness of the place, service was impeccable! The waiting time was from 5-10 minutes, which was quite impressive considering the amount of people in the restaurant. The prices were affordable and reasonable, most main courses are from 10-20 euros per person. The meat was tender, delicious, and fresh, which easily melts in your mouth. All the dishes were a delight to consume! To top it all off, they even gave us complimentary tea and baklava! A MUST visit restaurant!
The food was very good and so cheap, full meal with dessert and drinks and thee for 4 people was only 41 euro. The staff are very friendly and we got our orders very quickly. The interior design was very classy and perfectly fit the restaurant. It wasn't very busy since we ate at 14:00 but I can imagine that it gets very loud during diner and lunch but still worth it. Great Iraqi restaurant run by Kurdish people, definitely recommended!
