The first time I went to the Halal meat counter, I was asked if I had checked the prepackaged meats. I informed the person serving me that I didn\'t notice any halal meat prepackaged to which he replied that it is regular meat. As I was not wearing a hijab and I am Caucasian, he suspected that I was at the wrong counter. Even if I was not Muslim, anyone is entitled to purchase halal meat as this is the healthiest form of meat to buy. I was not impressed with his attitude. I did go back another time but I feel that I am being discriminated based on my appearance. I will not go back there again. Although their meat is very good, there are many places to buy halal meat where the staff are very friendly.
