Delicious food but pricey spot in Manhattan. We ordered Hydribad Lamb Biryani , Goat Karahi, and Chicken Vindaloo. Each item is $13 to $18, so not your place if you are looking for cheap food. Amazing tasty dishes though and attentive service. The manager verbally assured me everything was halal and they had a certificate. It's small place with few tables so expect to be cozy.

The service was great on my first visit. The cashier saw to it that I became familiar with the available items and enjoyed my meal. The price, on the other hand, for a butter chicken and a naan was wayyyyy more than this posting said, which is one dollar sign ($) out of four ($$$$). I would say two dollar signs ($$) out of four ($$$$).

GooglePatiala Indian Grill is conveniently located on the corner of W 34th Street, in a small, cozy space that accommodates about 10 to 15 seats. Despite its modest size, it offers flavorful and well-prepared dishes that reflect authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant also has a larger setup with a bar located at W 35th Street, providing a different dining experience. I visited with a few colleagues from work. I ordered the Hot Lentil Coconut Soup, a creamy and mildly spicy starter, along with a traditional Salted Lassi to cool the palate. For mains, I enjoyed Kurkuri Bhindi (crispy fried ladyfinger), Paneer Chilli (spicy paneer with peppers and onions), Egg Curry, Chilli Garlic Naan, Dal Tadka (spiced lentil gravy), and Zeera Rice (cumin-flavored rice). My colleagues tried Tandoori Murg (bone-in tandoori chicken), Pepper Lamb, Sweet Chilli Chicken, and Chicken Curry. All dishes were authentic, thoroughly cooked, and tailored to Indian taste preferences. You can request your preferred spice level to suit your palate. Overall, it’s a good option to consider for flavorful Indian cuisine in the area.

GoogleBiryani is super flavorful and curries are great. But there are no reservations for this location resulting in a long wet and cold wait in the rain. Pair that with the blast of chill air every time the door opens and the crowded space this location might not be worthy visiting compared to the other.
