Owners are Muslims and have a basement musallah. After praying, why not enjoy a delicious mouthwatering quesadilla for a cheap priceı
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From the owners: 'We offer 100% authentic halal Mexican food'
Score reflects a halal certificate on file.
Very friendly place in Mount Vernon area. Great food. Owner confirmed its halal.
Confirmed Halal Mexican food. This place is run by a Pakistani guy. It\'s located near Mt Vernon and pretty much on the main road. We loved the Quesadillas, the Subway kind of sandwich (Can\'t recall the name). I didn\'t care much for the steak burrito bowl because some of the pieces were kind of raw. The staff manning the counters struggled with English but we got our message across and order right, so cannot complain. Overall great experience!
My son and I had lunch at this place couple of days back. We ordered chicken bowl and chicken quesadilla. Both the quality and quantity of food was excellent. The owner was welcoming. We both really enjoyed the food. Definitely recommend this place. Bonn appetite!
Only one word...OUTSTANDING
Omg. Great food. Try the spicy quesadilla.
Excellent Burrito wraps. We enjoyed the steak burrito. I hope to try the taco bowl next time.
Service is 5/5. Flavor 3.5/5. Authenticity 3.5/5. Menus choices 4/5. Parking is street parking. Owner is accommodating and nice. Ambience casual and seating is somewhat limited
Amazing owner, Zia Bhai knows customer service , food was plentiful and delicious.
My wife and I were near Mercy Hospital and were looking for some good halal eats in the area. We pulled out our trusty Zabihah app and saw this place was nearby, so why not! This is a cozy, small mexican restaurant near some universities and Mercy Medical Center. The owner greeted us with salaams and he verbally confirmed that the meat is halal (entire menu). I ordered a steak burrito bowl and my wife ordered the chicken enchilada. We were both pleasantly surprised by our meals. The steak burrito bowl had flavorful steak and the enchilada had tasty chicken. There were a steady amount of customers coming in and out, mostly college students. I would definitely recommend this place, but keep in mind the serving style is similar to how a chipotle is (so keep that bowtie at home). The owner was friendly, respectful, and was patient enough to explain how the menu is freshly prepared without frozen ingredients.
This place is trash. Those tortillas chips and taco bowls that we love are left out all night and day. The workers are very unsanitary and not very hospitable to black people. There’s a lot of eye-rolling, sighing and side-eyes when I walk in and ask questions about the food. I am a very polite person. They treat me as if I’m asking for too much to want to be informed about what I eat. I live a block away and walk past the restaurant window often and every time I see something cringe worthy. The food is always substandard. I could have sworn that the food made me sick. The restaurant is not clean. The tables are sticky and the floor is greasy. It’s a hot ass mess. I would have left a review sooner but I wanted to give it chance. The staff is very cavalier about cleaning as you can tell by the photos of their windows. If this is how they present themselves to the public just imagine what corners are being cut behind the counter and in the kitchen. At night while the place is closed I often look in and marvel at how nasty the kitchen is left as reminder never to eat there again. I had to ask my friends to look to make sure I am not hallucinating. We have seen mice running around and those taco bowls stacked up high uncovered and tortilla chips just sitting out uncovered all night. Update 12/28/24 3am I thought they had cleaned up their act but I was wrong. On my way home from the club I just happened to see this burrito just chillin rotting in the windowsill.
