133 Stuart Street, Dunedin, Otago
Japanese restaurant, very centrally located in Dunedin City Centre, near the Octagon. The staffs reassured us that all beef and chicken are from halal source, But they also serve pork in the menu.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
The Chicken Katsu Curry is a fairly inexpensive but delicious treat for lunch. They also have a wide range of other Japanese sushis, noodles and rice dishes. Halal beef and chicken supplies are very easily available in Dunedin, which makes it easy for this restaurant to make it halal, but I recommend always checking with the staffs about its current halal availability.
The bathrooms are so disgusting it makes you hope the kitchen is more clean. DCC Food rating wasn’t up. The floor throughout was filthy as can be. The booth walls were also filthy. The service was good & food was tasty but a really grimy atmosphere
