A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises.. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Jimmy's Big Burgers has everything from dozens of burgers (obviously), sandwiches, salads, appetizers, to desserts. Located right across the street from the Plano masjid.

Changing my review from 1 star to 4. Since my initial review the restaurant has made significant efforts to improve food across the board. I have tried both their American and Pakistani dishes and they have been consistently good. I tried their 'Bandero' which is a double cheese burger and it was decent the three times. Specifically it came out in time (hot), was juicy and bun to meat ratio was good. More importantly it was the same 3 times i tried it. They are finally a good spot to go in Plano area.
Slow service and overall average
Very expensive menu over price take forever to bring food out not going back Plus one of the manager is very rude
Dry and overpriced burgers! I think the only reason this place remains in business is because it is so close to the Plano mosque. Decor is nice with diner type seating. I do like the menu but execution is poor.
My review is for my catering order from jimmy\'s burger. Last weekend , we ordered whole goat roast( we provided the goat ourselves), haryali Chicken( green chicken with light curry) and chicken alfaredo pasta for a dinner event at our place, we placed the order 2 weeks in advance, after detailed discussions with the owner as to what we are looking for. What we got at our event was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The haryali chicken that we ordered was more of a chicken tikka boti than anything else. The Alfredo pasta was extremely dry. And to top it all off, one goat leg was ENTIRELY MISSING from the order In short, the overall experience was very bad. I wont recommend using them for catering. Too risky in my opinion
Enjoyed the burgers.
Food is only good when Bilal Bhai is around. I have had overcooked burnt patties few times. Oliver is always good
No quality control - I agree, food tastes different every time.
I don't get this place food is very inconsistent tastes different every time. Guess they got cooks who cook differently the same burger
Agree with the previous similar experiences. Picked up a to go order and the fries were not only reheated but the portion was 1/3 of the typical portion. Very disappointing and would definitely will not go back.
Ordered food to-go but fries were reheated piece of crap
Food is good here but on the pricey side. A Burger combo shouldn't cost $10. The desi food they catered to the masjid in Ramadan was excellent.
Very very slow service. Be prepared to be sitting for 45 min to an hr. They don't bring all your orders at once. If you are with family, they bring half order and the other half 15 min later Food is ok. Will not come here
Within an hour of eating here I have to defecate. Every single time. Something is not right in their food. I heard new management took over and they're stingier with portions too. I avoid this place and choose to drive 20 mins for a good halal burger that's not from Jimmy's.
The Best Halal Burger I would say in my trip to Dallas. Try the Jungle Burger which is their special!
We're new to the DFW area and am so glad we tried Jimmy's, everything from service, cleanliness and food quality was exceptional. Each item that we ordered was excellent! Tried the Jungle Burger, Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, Jungle Chicken sandwich and Fried Chicken sandwich. You can taste the fresh ingredients in each burger, which is so rare now-a-days at halal restaurants. We'll be frequenting Jimmy's often!
My burger place of choice. The hickory burger is my favorite. Everyone I've brought here enjoyed their meal, and I've brought a lot of friends and family here. The burgers are huge, but the taste is great as well. I've been here 5-6 times and left satisfied every time. The place was recommended to me by brother Jami, who runs Subz n Stuff in Irving. There is some people who are questioning if it's halal or not, but I would trust Jami in this matter.
good food and clean restaurant my kids like the food but its was okay for me n hubby.
We walk in! We walk out! its Halal because its from Restaurant Depot! but its not Zabiha!
The food is good! if you skip Zabihah or not! But no one shows us how its Zabihah! No one ever saw a bill from well certified zabihah halal supplier!
i like their other plano location better but ambiance for this location is better. they need to maintain same portion size and same quality as their other location. I did hear the rumour that they dont sell zabiha but i confirmed that their food is zabihah halal.
I liked it first. Portion size were good but now chicken sandwich is tiny. He said ppl only preferred only specific kind of zabihah meat and that meat is expensive. I like their other location. I was there with a friend who goes there very often. owner was very nice and greeted everyone. They should stick with their food that they had at other location. you can never make all desi happy. While I was there, a fellow muslim came and started asking all sorts of question and owner repeatedly said it was zabihah halal meat. I bet that uncle would only be satisfied if owner would cut the cow/chicken infront of him. I asked once and owner confirmed and showed me certificate that food is zabihah halal. But they should make their portion size bigger like the other plano location
Too much for too little quality! Burger is big no deny about that! No confirm what so ever about if it is Zabiha Halal or just Halal!
Simply put, Jimmy's Big Burgers just sucks. Consistent with reviews below, this place is WAY over priced for the quality of food you are getting. When I went there last time, my burger was not that big and the burger meat looked totally white inside (which basically tells me they are using cheap scrap beef full of fat). Save your time and money and just go to Hot N Crunchy or just go to Olive Burger (not sure if that is really Zabihah Halal though). Also, this place is way too big and there's never any people there, which should tell you something.
FIRST OF ALL: ONLY the 2 locations in Plano (off of Independence and Spring Creek and 14th and Shiloh) are the ones that under the same ownership and are claiming to be halal. Mahdiqurashi2001, you have posted the Facebook pictures and links for the Montfort location which is NOT Halal nor does it claim to be. This location is much better than the East Plano location, but still not all that. Food isn't as tasty as I would like, but its the Zabihah aspect that will bring me back. Pricing is high and service is Ok, but nothing to be excited over. It was all teenagers running the place the day I went and they could all use major training in customer service and not being so lame. I was personally taken aback after placing my to go order then looking back to see the guy at the grill pointing at me and signals to the waitress with his hands '4 burgers for one person?'... WTH?
Expensive! average food! I will agree with the brothers below! they do sell HAM! First day of Eid..We ordered one burger! and we left the place and went to Krispino inside Meat Matters! Cheaper, Zabihah Halal, and taste better! Same we did last night at Olive Burger
Average food but expensive, my kids prefer to go Hot N Crunchy
Food is not that great and it's pricy. Taking advantage to be closer of Mosque.

We went! and yes its little bit pricy! but we did order! but when we double check the menu! we left the food! and the whole place! Its near Plano Masjid! whats the difference between them and Mcdonalds beside the Masjid?
Mahidaqureshi2001 the bacon you are referring to is HALAL Turkey bacon from Midamar (certified by multiple halal agencies) http://www.midamar.com/, THEY DO NOT SELL HAM. i first went there that was my first question. I asked the owner and he took me to the back. There were no pork products. I have been there multiple times in the past month and their burgers are good and are adequately priced for good quality burgers.
