Has anyone notices that quality of food has gone down badly. It was great when I went there with family in Ramadan time. My wife went twice for specials after friday namaz. Start from basic egg roll, sesame chicken and fried rice taste has gone down even the red chilies are dry. My message to OWNER, food taste is awful. Not going back.

Very so so chinese. They don't even have soup spoons. I ordered a three flavor rice soup and it was no flavor. Garbage. In addition Fried rice and Mongolian beef was not even close to my expectation. I am from California and My favorite Ma's islamic chinese is by far the best chinese in the Usa. Crescent Moon is good for people in Dallas region its like something is better than nothing.

I've been to this establishment many times over the last few years and while I find the food acceptable, I find that the service is so awful, there is no way I can justify giving this establishment more than one star. Here's what they need to do to improve: 1. Ensure all items are hot when brought to the table. The food is often cold. 2. Acknowledge and greet customers on arrival. They often ignore customers for 10-15 mins. 3. Check in with the customer after serving the food. They'll often leave you alone for the length of your meal. 4. Stop force adding an 18% tip to the bill when service is so poor. 5. Don't make people wait to pay their bill. It's common to wait 10-20 mins for the waiter to bring the bill or to point you to the counter to pay. 6. Keep the kitchen clean, tables and chairs grease free. 7. Maybe crack a smile at the customers once in a while.

Tip was forcefully added. When asked why. They said that we used the private room so that's why. We never asked for the private room. The waiter made us sit in the private room even though the restaurant was empty.

We have been a regular customer of Crescent Moon since it opened and really like going there but feel like quality is going down gradually. The food quality is not consistent, couple of main entrees like Sesame Chicken are prepared well every time but others can be good or bad depending on your luck. The customer service is what really needs to be addressed by the management. Couple of months ago we took some guests who were visiting from Pakistan and we had a terrible experience. Even though it was a week night and the restaurant was not crowded, nobody asked us if we want to be seated, they did not bring menus to our table and kept on sweeping right next to our table even though it was not the closing time. Just last week we went on Friday night when the restaurant was crowded. My kids were still finishing their dinner when this guy came and suddenly started taking our plates away. My husband and I had to remind him twice that the kids were still eating. He did not even say sorry or anything like that. Then just a couple of minutes after that, the same guy came to our table and said that we need to hurry up because he had other customers waiting to be seated. We were totally taken aback. Now we don't want to give them our business at all.

Great chinese food! I eaten here many times in the last year. To be honest, not as good as the Chinese places in LA area- but good for Dallas area. I met the owner and his family - very reliable and assured Zabihah meats is served. Very close to the Plano masjid (just next door to the restaurant). Food has good variety, and tastes great with generous portions. Recommend the General Tso, mongolian beef, and cashew chicken.

Went To This Place 4 Times In The Last 3 Months, Very Hit Or Miss! The Food Is Average For The Most Part, Nothing Was GREAT, But Then Again, Nothing Was BAD! My Only Think Against This Place Is, They Reheat Everything, Nothing Seems To Be Fresh! The Staff Is Average, During One Visit We Got Our Entrees Before The Appetizers! Oh Yeah, They Always Play A Nasty Animal Documentary, Which Makes Most People Loose There Appetite! So My Suggestion Is, Sit Facing Away From The TV!

This place had the best Chinese food ever. Normally I can't eat more than three bites without wanting to throw up. But they had delicious food with a lot of variety. I will def be going back. Prices are reasonable as its not a local Chinese takeout, its a very decent place. I was very impressed.

If you want to get fresh food on your table this isn't a place to eat, Food is previously cooked and reheated. I'm not sure if they serve Zabhia meat because few weeks ago I went to Masjid in morning and I saw a meat truck was unloading meat and have Austin company name and adress. I will not go their again.

Finally, a high quality zabihah Chinese restaurant in DFW! Thank you! I can't recommend this place enough! Beautiful ambience, delicious, fresh food (reasonably priced in my opinion), and friendly customer service. I wish more zabihah establishments would follow their example of quality in all aspects. Chinese restaurants are famous for how quickly they deliver food, so I am confused by those who think this has anything to do with freshness. We have eaten there many times, and the food is always fresh; that's not something you can really hide (an unfortunate issue with some other "halal" restaurants.)

I tried Richardson branch today for the first time. In fact I have just added it to this website as it is not available under Richardson area. If was recommended to me by a friend. It is neat, clean place. It is right that the food got to the table after 5 minutes of ordering, but the taste of lamb and beef was great. It has been a while since I have tried Chinese because most of these restaurants add rice wine to prepare the food. The staff were friendly. I would recommend it despite the most recent reviews.

This is more of a suggestion than a review. I have been to this place a few times now. The service is awesome but, All food that is served comes out in a very short time, this makes it obvious that the food is not cooked fresh just heated up when ordered, over the past few visits this has become very apparent as the meat tastes old and even stale for some dishes. I do not think I will be eating here as often or ever anymore, when there are other establishments in the dfw area that serve fresh food.

Place is clean. Owner is SUPER FRIENDLY and treats both customers and staff very well. Therefore, you will see the staff there is very friendly towards customers as well. Food is VERY Good. Even though Chinese food is not my type of food, I have enjoyed this food quiet a lot. Not to mention healthy compared to many other restaurants. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS!

Alhamdulillah! The best chinese I have ever had. There is nothing in the whole place you can complain about. Very courteous staff. Its a family owned business and we have been seeing the family as regular musalleen much before the Crescent Moon. You are reading this because you care to eat only Zabihah food. This is the only one of the few the DFW area where you can eat confidently like your home. We should promote these kind of places. Would recommend every brother in DFW area. Very less priced..May Allah give him Barakah..

Ahhh! Where to begin?! One of my friends recommended that I try this place out, and so with her recommendation I came here with my family. There was no big sign outside with "Crescent Moon" on it , so the location was overlooked. But wow, masha'Allah, when we were inside, we were greeted so nicely by the owners. The place is super clean, and the food is delicious. If you're looking for something super spicy to eat, then this may not be the place, because the dishes were very mild. However, really nice, since it's located near a masjid as well.

Masha'Allah the food and decor was excellent. They have a small room for business guests which I think can accommodate around 8 people. I had been there with office colleagues. Upon prior booking, they had reserved the room for us. The owner was very courteous. Service was good and price was also reasonable. Being close to Plano masjid, Insha'Allah I will plan to visit this place again.

The food here reminds me a lot of the food you get in North California. It is amazing! We got the three treasures wonton soup, sliced chicken with jalapenos, and crispy black pepper beef. The sliced chicken was very good. The crispy black pepper beef needs sauce but was still very good. The service was excellent and the owner was extremely nice. I will definitely come back next time I am in Plano.
