The owners are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status.. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
The famous Shalimar restaurant chain from the Bay Area has opened a new branch in the Natomas area of Sacramento. Great Pakistani BBQ, curries and veggies for veg lovers.

As good as Shalimar Jones Street in San Francisco, Dublin, or Fremont. The food is so good, and the consistency from location to location can\'t be beat.
Food here is overrated. It\'s just average. Only chicken tikka masala
If you have visited the Fremont version of the same restaurant, this is kinda like the Fremont one except it offers more place to sit outside and eat, almost resembles a chipotle without the long lines, complementary tea and nice chicken tikka and decent Haleem and biryani so do try Btw if you spot Zeeshan halal meat place U are just a lane away and in the right strip mall :) Ma as salama
AlHamdoIllah, Great all halal food, nice location, and reasonable prices...
Good food. Only time I go is when I'm with my uncles and there's like 20 of us so they accommodate all of us always with no problems. And the food is always on point
Great Pakistani halal food
This place is amazing - one of the best in Sacramento.
Used Shalimar to cater my daughter's first birthday party and was very satisfied. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. They made sure I had plenty of food for my guests, and I felt that the pricing was very reasonable. It would be wonderful if they opened a restaurant in the Roseville/Rocklin area because they would get plenty of business!
Very good food Good service, friendly people
Been there three times since its been opened and loved it every time. Great Service and great food. All food is always cooked well. glad they opened in sacramento. :)
Love this place. Manager tries hard to lease customers and keep standards high. We've been waiting a long time for Shalimar to come to the area and have not been disappointed. Great food.
I was visiting Sacramento for work from So Cal and was told by a colleague that Shalimar had opened a new branch so I decided to try it out. I had my typical Chicken Tikka and Seekh Kabob which was excellent. The management is still figuring out how to run things. It took about 20 minutes to get my food and the server brought out 1 item at a time. He forgot to bring my naan and I had to ask twice. But after eating my meal I left satisfied.
