Sizzlo'z Flame Grilled Chicken

2017 - We have tried this place twice now. The first time was a week after they opened (2013) and the food was cold and had no flavour. We never visited the place again until a few weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised to experience great flavour and spice. Very good service and great food. Will visit again. 06.09.2018 - Ordered Sizzlo'z Chicken and Ribs Family meal. The chicken was marinated with perfection and ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. Five Stars as Usual.

Burger was dissapointing dry and exoensive but their usual grilled whole chicken is to die for and I dont know what dinner roll they give as side but its the best bread ive ever had!

Good food, good service, prices quite high the product.

Good clean location. Food was expensive and all tasted the same. Not happy and will not go back.

I recently took my family to the Dixie/Eglinton location which was only open for a month so the decor was still to be done up, but it was a nice large clean place. Service was really good and the owners even came up to us to see how we were doing. Ordered the 2 full chicken dinners and after experiencing Galitos before, this one was way better. They gave a lot of sides, the chicken was juicy and cooked well and the kids ate a lot too. Their Garlic peri peri sauces were really good. Portuguese rice is still too plain for my taste buds, but the Peri fries were great. Better than Galitos. 2 full chicken dinners with 3 sides for me, my wife and my mom and 3 kids came up to $54. Pretty decent.

Having seen recently a boom of Portuguese flavor restaurants i went there with a minimum expectation in mind and this place faired well with it. But it didnt have anything that impressed me, infact customer service was poor and i found a group of people getting preferential treatment because they some how knew the owners. Did not impress me so i am gona pass.

I have heard a lot of good things about this place but today we tried their food and man it was tasty. Portion were really large and service was amazing. One suggestion though... maintain your quality. period. I am definitely going back

I am giving this place a 2 star for the lack of cleanliness bathrooms were filthy, looked like it has not been cleaned for a while. better to touch the door handle with a towel. paper towels were all over on the floor. When we walked into the restaurant all the tables had dirty plates on them, meaning people eat there but the tables had not cleaned. We asked the waitress to have one table cleaned she only picked up the plates which still had food particles from previous use(s) so i went to the bath room and got whole bunch of wet paper towels and cleaned the table on my own that's when i found out the sorry state of the bathroom. Sauce bottles were all sticky and had not been cleaned for a while looked like they had dried up sauce on them. Side counter was full of dirty plates from the moment we walked in until we left. How did this place pass the health inspection? ... beats me. If you are able to see pass the cleanliness problem then the food is good, in my case i was not able to enjoy the food because of that one issue. Perhaps this can be a good take out place.

i recently went there with a group of friends -basically a knock-off of nandos, galitos, chick felays, but the food can't be a knock off even if it tried hard -pleasantly surprised that there were more menu options than the comparable restaurants, but then again it made ordering/choosing a bit complex for some of the group. -food was fresh, but our group found that taste lacks behind in flavour, compared to the competition -cleanliness was an issue at table -steep pricing -won't be back

We have been there twice so far and enjoyed the flame grilled Portuguese Nando style chicken. The quantity and quality is praiseworthy and the staff is also very decent n nice. My only issue was the peri bites, they were awesome and good size (you only get 3 in 1 order) and they tasted good too. Either you should serve 4 or 2, 3 seemed rather odd since it was me and my husband so we ended up ordering another order for it to make it even. The ambience over all is good and yes it tasted better than Nandos!

My initial thought was, ah another chicken place but I must say: Great service and VERY reasonable prices. Really nice quality and very juicy chicken. Garlic sauce is too good (I would love to buy the bottle if they start selling it). My wife loves their Peri Bites. Also, Beef Ribs are THE BEST in Mississauga. Next time I will try Hunter Beef sandwich as well. I agree with the above comment, taste is way better than Nando's

I agree that the wraps are good (though a bit small) The food can be pretty spicy if you make the mistake of ordering hot and can't handle it. It's really not much better than Nando's or Galito's but I'm happy it opened up anyways because the other place on Brunel Road closed and there isn't any restaurant like this in NW Mississauga. It's basically the same type of chicken as the other places, a bit overpriced like them as well however they have more options for beef such as steak and ribs. There are two other halal restaurants in this plaza including a shawarma if you want a bigger/cheaper wrap but this is worth trying out for their wraps and beef or wings if you're in the area. I'm not as big of a fan of the actual chicken at these places as it's a bit bland.

I am not sure if there really is a need for yet another Portuguese style "flame grilled chicken" restaurant in Mississauga but nonetheless, the food here is great! They have a decent sitting area and family friendly as well. The staff was friendly and gave good advice on what to order considering the number of people in the party. Personally, what set them apart were the chicken kababs and the chicken wrap. Would highly recommend those.
