Great little spot for snacks and sweets. Our regulars from this place are the palak/spinach this is so simple but delicious with hot naan. Gulab jamun and rasgulla are amazing and to top off the strong desi chai is a must. Fresh samosas and patties are also worth eating.

This is a full-service or take-out halal Bengali restaurant located on Starling Avenue in the Bronx. Despite the name, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, an dinner, with dessert as a sideshow. There are several tables inside the completely undecorated dining room. Parking is available on the street, though you will probably have to park on nearby Castle Hill Ave if you come when parking is free. As usual, it\\\'s probably prudent to leave the 1997 Acura NSX in Spa Yellow Pearl at home. This author tried the haleem with naan and chicken jalfrezi. The haleem ($5) was fairly average, with more than expected bones and a few pieces of fatty meat. The freshly-made naan ($2.50) was decent but unremarkable and a bit more expensive than one would expect. The chicken jalfrezi ($5) was probably actually chili chicken and had an unexpected sweet tomato-ketchup flavor and is worth avoiding. The post-dinner chai ($1) was excellent. Overall, a fair restaurant, but completely unremarkable. Not a bad choice, but there are better options.
