recently visited Masala Bazar Swansea and made purchases from the store. As someone who is new to Swansea, I parked my car outside the shop but was unaware that customers must register their vehicle at the counter. Today I received a £100 parking ticket. I went back to the store and politely explained the situation to the manager, showing both my purchase receipt from that day and the parking ticket, hoping they might help or at least guide me on what to do. Unfortunately, the manager did not even bother to properly listen and refused to offer any assistance. The dismissive attitude was extremely disappointing. Good customer service costs nothing, and sometimes simply listening to a genuine customer can make a big difference. Managers’ attitudes can make or destroy businesses, and sadly this experience left a very negative impression. Because of this treatment, I would rather travel to Cardiff to shop than return to this store again. Very disappointing experience.
I visited the Masala bazaar 08/02/2026 in morning about 10-30am and unfortunately had a disappointing experience at the front desk . The butcher was working in morning selling counter(I mean front desk pay counter)As this is a very famous Asian grocery shop. I expected staff to able to communicate in basic English. However the staff member was unable to assist me English and did not attempt to find alternative support. Additionally the interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. I hope the company will wake up and considers improving language support .
All indian food is available and very organized so you get things very easily from the shelf thanks guys.
BEST SHOP IN SWANSEA, YOU WILL FIND FRESH VEG AND FROZEN GOODS THERE. EXCELLENT HELPFUL STAFFS ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP
Im a regular customer who buys stuff for years. Last week, I was given two spoilt jack fruits. It was selected by one of the staff working. The staff told me to let him know if that is spoilt. When I showed the picture of the spoilt fruits. He refused to refund. He rather would loose a regular customer who does purchase of things worth £200 to £300. He prefered to lose a customer rather than to refund. He could have reduced an amount from the total bill. I walked out. He was very disrespectful and said he couldn't refund. I would not go back or recommend anyone to this shop who has no respect for customers.
