This is an old standby in Albany for halal eaters. The food is a nice mix of Afghan and American dishes; I\'ve never had anything here that wasn\'t delicious. Their plates have generous portions, so my husband and I usually share a plate and are satisfied. The atmosphere is cozy, with pictures and trinkets from Afghanistan up on the walls. Business seems to be pretty steady Alhamdulillah.

Had lamb chops. The meat was very bad and all were burnt! Not sure about anything else though.

Salaam, Just visited the place over the weekend and it was OPEN. Ordered two entrees, chicken and lamb was delicious. The white sauce is amazing! It truly made the meal. Also ordered some bolinee which was good.Ordered some tea to go which was great. Service was good the owners are pleasant people who were very courteous. Nice music and lots of room. Closed for Ramadan so call in advance.

I recently went there and the windows were papered over. They appear to be closed.

Its a treat to be at Afghan kabab. The owners are courteous, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The staff does not fall short of giving zabiha assurance. More than a single reason to recommend this place over and over again.

To start off, I would NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE coming to this downgraded restaurant. The individuals working there at first, seem very nice but little does anyone know HOW RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, bad-mannered and IGNORANT these people are. They need to learn how to deal with a customer but they act as if they do us a FAVOR by giving us the food WE BUY WITH OUR OWN MONEY. The PRICES are ridiculous there, i mean 1 KABAB for 6 DOLLARS, what a joke. Im a person who eats out a lot, especially in afghani, indian and pakistani restaurants and NO ONE CHARGES that much. When asked if we could return this, they started to YELL at us. Their attitude is as if they were running some billion dollar business, so u can only imagine how CONSIDERATE they are towards there customers. Now to talk about the food served, Well lets just say if you want your moneys worth DONT EVER BOTHER coming there!

Nice little place in a dodgy part of Albany. Bolani, Mantoo and Koobideh Kabab was excellent. The prices were very reasonable and service was friendly. I was assured by phone and in person all food was Zabihah. Bonus: its right across the street from the masjid.
