We visited Shezan on Eid ul Fitr this year.Drove all the way from Longisland to NJ after Eid salah, glad to say was worth it.The menu was elaborate .Starters paprichat, pani puri, french fries, chicken nuggets, samosas, spring rolls, chicken kebabs, pakore, chicken fry. Breakfast items were Poori, Halwa, chole . Rice,Goat pulao, Kari ,Baingan bharta,Saag. Salads beans salad, raita, fruits, Aloo bukhara chutney, green chutney. Goat korma, Nihari,Paya, kheema masala, Not to forget the yummy Biryani. It was very well made reminded us of the desi biryani back home. They had chinese food too Noodles, shrimp, chicken manchurian. The Goat sajji WHOLE GOAT was very well prepared with the right blend of spices, juicy n flavourful. variety of deserts to choose.Rasmalai , jamoon, kheer, gajar ka halwa(my fav),jelly, chocolate icecream. By the time we tried all these yummy items, our kids enjoyed running around the ample space in the banquet hall.kid friendly place, nice service.Have to mention the chai which gave a very homely meal ending...cuz we always end our meal with chai. People who wanna have a gala meal for eid should definitely try this place. Thank you shezan for making our Eid special.

Really miss when this place was good. We used to come here multiple times and be satisfied with their amazing food and service. Now, the waiters are rude and the food is Disgusting..... Do not come here if you want half-cooked expensive food.. Really disappointed.

Went there for iftaar and i regret! Mismanagement! Only one buffet table so there were long queues and people were still standing in queues even after iftaar. Same thing happened during the dinner that once you fill your plate, you wont think of going back looking at the long wait! And food was just average. I wont recommend! I would rather break my fast at dunkin donuts instead of standing in the queues!

Certainly a well decorated restaurant and i might re-visit but i cant quite suggest as a "must visit". Service is good but i think Shalimar BBQ has better tasting food.

This food is a great example of back home taste the food is very good but not stable meaning it won't be the same the next time you go there. The buffet isn't bad I personally like variety some dishes are great while others leave u wondering of a Spanish guy made it but overall a good eat I do recommend

Have been on oaktree hundreds of times before and never visited this place. Decided to take my mom and my friend to dinner to this place. Must say the decor is very contemporary for a desi restaurant and seemed clean. Next we ordered chicken pakora, birayani, palak ghosth, and chicken tikka. Must say the food was delicious! will return for catering menu.

Food usually below average. It is rumoured that the owner does not serve Halal food, cause non halal meat is cheaper. I know prayers are held at the premises and owners are muslim, but need assurance that food is indeed halal, just that the owners are muslim does not suffice. Update Now halal meat is being served. Food is reasonable. Iftari was fresh.

I was recently there for an Iftar party. I was giving it 4 stars for the food but the service was horrible. We had appetizers to open our fast and then went to pray in the same hall....when we got back our half eaten plates were gone. No excuse for this in a Halal restaurant. Management should take notice. The staff was also slow in refilling water and soda jugs.

Way over priced for the lack of food quality. Decor is typical desi restaurant with subpar service -- unfortunately not much of a halaal food selection on Oak tree road.

wow the setting of this place is awful..you come in with a family of 4 and sit at a table of 10 with scores of little brats running around you because the parents don't care and the management can't control them. the food was good but could be better for the amount you end up paying. a lot of variety in food, but honeslty this place used to be a lot better back in the day.

I visited this restaurant on Eid, in a group of 20. They had a buffet which i had to say the food was ok,a big variety of pakistani food with a few chinese dishes. It was in a banquet style hall so seemed like attending a wedding. we paid about $17 per head and that included soft drinks and tea. All was good until the onwer practically told us to leave because he was getting busy and needed the space, he also tried to overhcarge us for any empty chairs at the table which in my opinion would be the managements fault for not seating correctly! Overall the restaurant has bad & rude management so I wouldnt go back or recommend this restaurant until they learn some manners.

This used to be one of my favorite spots when I lived in NJ. Visited NJ a few days ago, and since its Ramadaan, decided to order take-out and have it @ dinnertime. Enroute, I called to place my pick-up/take-out order only to be rudely told that they are too busy and cannot take my order. Needless to say, after driving 10hrs and looking forward to having their food for dinner, I was very disappointed. Even after I explained my situation, how regular I used to eat there, and politely requested them to take my order, they still refused. I can understand if they're busy and can't get the order done in 1hr or 2hr, but not outright rejecting the order. Its a shame...

Food was just ok but very very costly. We ordered three items(Biryani, Karayee and Seekh kabab) and the bill was $42.00. It is not worth to spend that many $ for a normal food.

we like go to their brunch in their banquet hall which is big and spacious and great for folks like us who have small children. Food is usually good as is the service. Is it the best Paki food in Central NJ? No but I recommend it when you want to eat out with a larger group because everyone can sit comfortably and the kids can even play without bothering other guests.

I am sceptical about the high praises .. were these written by Shezan's employees or owners? Well... seems like the praises have stopped since Zabihah has required registration. My opinion: Over priced, naan could have been better. Biryani & Butter Chicken was good. Lamb Chops (have tasted better, was served little charred). Friendly staff. so so decoration.

Food varies from average to acceptable. Been going regularly for years. Those who lavish endless praise have not been to Devon street Chicago and to Michigan. Thankfully it is the cleanest Desi restaurant.Turks though do better. It is definitely overpriced for what they serve.People who share my taste go only for halal.Yes we feel a bit of a hostage.

Having just moved to New Jersey, we were searching for a good Pakistani/Indian restaurant during the month of Ramadan. We were warmly greeted, the staff was VERY attentive, and we enjoyed the food immensely. They served us iftar while Azhan was playing on the speakers, and then we prayed with the staff -- since we were the only ones there. The food was excellent as well... overall a wonderful dining experience!

We visited this place due to the reviews here and found it to be just as they said it. The food was great, especially the chicken tikka which came in a sizzling plate and the naans were absolutely lovely! The vegetable biryani was not impressive though but the service was. Good manners, nice environment and good food gives this place the thumbs up. Would definately go back.

Shezan has great food. It is located in on Oak tree Road. Now they have a banquet hall with impressive interior. It can hold up to 300-350 people.I held a party there and the service was amazing. And they also have a bakery right in front of the hall. It serves fresh cakes, pasteries, sweets, and chats. It also has outstanding chicken patties. Next time you plan on having a party or in the mood for having a snack stop by Shezan Banquert hall or Shezan Sweets and Bakery.

"Unassuming in stature and somewhat secluded, but the food here is unsurpassed. Your appetite will be aroused the moment you step into the establishment and take in the aromas. The appetite you've built up will be justified once the food arrives. Every dish I have tried is a favorite, and in its near perfection has become a standard by which I gauge every other restaurant's version of that same dish. The service is polite and attentive. Prices are slightly expensive for dinner but during lunch you can sample 5 or 6 dishes that comprise the buffet for a very low price. The only negative is that take-out orders do not include any rice or bread."

We ordered Pakoras to start with, each helping consisted of 3 potato and 3 eggplant pakoras, Though pricy, they were crispy and well made. This was followed by haleem, nihari and chicken seekhkabab. The haleem was excellent, nihari well made but kabab were bland but okay. Had kulfi and gulabjaman as a finale. Bill $67 for 3 but the food was authentic and delicious.Enjoyed it! pricy but worth the trip.

"Location: Though located in the heart of "Oak Tree" a.k.a "Desi Road", it is hidden behind a couple of small building structures, therefore call ahead to get the exact directions or visit with someone who has been there, because you are bound to get lost if you dont know where exactly its located. Interior: Simply put-its impressive, medium size restaurant with elegant interior and uniformed waiters. Food: You may find it a little pricy but nonetheless its worth it. The food tastes great and they have a great variety of Pakistani dishes. I ordered six dishes (take out) and all of them had the traditional Pakistan taste with the correct proportion of spices added. Service: I was highly impressed with the service, the two waiters who helped me were soft spoken and polite, additionally they went ABCD (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty) by offerin' me a place inside their restaurant to say my Maghrib Prayers, they even provided me "Jay-e-Namaz" while my order was being prepared. Excellent service, its on my "Must Visit" list."
