I was planning to have dinner at Patogh next door but it was full and me being hungry, tried Salwa. It is a typical Indian/Pakistani takeaway. The food is precooked and displayed at the counter. With curries that is OK but I would prefer kebab rolls to be right from the grill. You choose what you would like to eat, the food is placed in plastic containers and then heated in one of the six or eight microwaves lined up at the back wall. I had lamb curry and pilau and the curry was delicious and spicy. The place is basic though very clean and the prices are quite reasonable. Compared to some low quality Arab restaurants on the Edgware Road, I would prefer this place.
The place that truly feels like home. The flavors are authentic, comforting, and consistently good. Their palak gosht is easily the best in town, flavorful, and cooked just right, with tender meat and perfectly seasoned spinach. It’s the kind of dish you keep coming back for. If you’re craving real Pakistani food made with care, do visit this place
