South Indian food is in its own class. ChennaiDosa made an attempt to recreate the magic of South Indian cuisine in London and has been immensely successful since the opening of its first branch in Manor Park, London. In 2003, Chennaidosa opened its first restaurant in East London, and within a year became the largest dosa maker in Europe.
The menus clearly state that halal food is served. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.

Fantastic vegetarian food. Excellent masala dosa. Will definitely come back. Car parking is an issue, you'll need to look around but not impossible.
excellent staff! very polite. dosa's very tasty
Go to place for south indian flavors, Must try madurai kari dosa, kotthu paratta etc...lovely atmosphere and service. Had a yummy badhusa for dessert.
I ordered a takeaway from Chennai Dosa, Dudley road via Uber Eats. I think the food is amazing and the service is also great but the dosa gets really soggy when it is delivered as all the crispiness goes away when it is packed in a box. Taste also gets affected because of the same reason. I have had dosa at the restaurant itself in the past and it was really tasty so I decided to order it for takeaway. I also ordered Gobi manchurian which I found was a bit more on a sweeter side, I prefer a bit less sweetness. Food packaging was very good; they even packed it in a durable bag and proper boxes. I think if you are planning to eat in it is definitely a better idea…
Food was hot and fresh , waitress recommended food as there was a lot to choose from. Spice was right and the tastes exactly as u would expect .. mouth watering delicious. Portion sizes were big for one person . Would definitely go again . Service was lovely and they left you alone without feeling you were being rushed .
This restaurant was always in my bucket list to try. We ate their Podi masala dosa which was full of flavours and crisp, mix uttapam which was served with 3 different flavourful chutneys, Idli and vada sambhar, it was so soft that it reminds me of India. Their menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Service is quick, and the ambience feels casual and welcoming. While sometimes crowded, the food quality and taste make it worth visiting for a satisfying South Indian meal. Here the food gives the taste of India
I had a very disappointing experience at Chennai Dosa in Birmingham. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful from the moment we walked in, which really set the wrong tone. Their payment system is very poor and inconvenient, making the whole process unnecessarily stressful. As for the food, it was nowhere near the quality I expected – bland, not fresh, and definitely not worth the price. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and let down. I would not recommend this place and won’t be returning.
