About Shiraz

Relaxing comfortable family restaurant, a real taste of Persia. Shiraz is a short bus ride or slightly longer walk from PyCon UK up Broad Street and the Hagley Road to the Ivy Bush. Its food is lovely and plentiful, and the restaurant is alcohol-free, which means that it does not have a licence and you may not bring your own.

Had heard a lot about Shiraz. Very courteous service. Food was very good, wouldn't give 5 stars as chicken kebabs were a little overdone. The koubideh however was excellent. We also were given a complimentary dessert (phirni) which was a bonus. Overall recommended.

The restaurant is like a narrow hallway. Very very tight and therefore not very private as the table next to you is only separated by enough space for waiting staff to squeeze through. We were ignored on arrival and stood at the doorway for 15 minutes despite a young staff member walking past us several times. We were only seated when I got annoyed and asked her to attend to us. After a bad start however, the food was lush! Very Tender lamb and lovely rice. Plates piled high so I left loads. Go...but just not on a busy night

Great food, expensive, service is slow on busy days, a bit cramped when you go in winter the door keeps opening and freezing you, don't order take out I rang them then had to wait 20 mins, lack of parking but the best Iranian food I have tasted either in London or Birmingham.

Lovely food, a little pricy but ok if only two are eating. Their challoo kebabs are always good and the chicken wings are delicious but their meet dishes have no flavour.

Food is amazing. It has a nice flavour of Persian. Grilled and cooked menu.
