They are not yemeni . Mandi is not real mandi. They did not proove me where do they get their meat from. People are ethiopian .
Not worthed Its not yemeni restaurant
For over the past few years I was a huge fan of this place but over the past few months this place has been nosediving. Me an my wife and 2 daughters entered the place and it took them about 10 minutes before we were given a menu. The waitresses seemed completely unhygienic and the cook who was walking around the dining area seemed so to. During the whole period we were there the cook spent his time flirting with the waitresses in the most disgusting way including physical contact which made me, my wife and 2 girls uncomfortable. In addition 2 shady charecters walked and proceeded to kiss the waitresses also. The food, which for ages was the best yemeni food you could eat in the area was horrible and the portions much more smaller than before. I always order the same dish, either Hanith or Mandi and this was the first time I wasn't served vegetables with my meal. To top it off I was overcharged intentionally. I had to go over the bill with the shady waitress. All in all I hope management reads this and brings back Al Jazeerah back to the quality it had before
Good
Terrific place! Worth the extra dollars for very tasty food. Space is a bit tight and price may be a bit high if you wish to visit frequently, but the generous portions and quality flavor makes it great for a once-in-a-blue moon treat.
Mouthwatering! If u need soft tender lamb meat try this place. Aljazeera lamb special is just awesome
This place is very old school. When I eat here, I feel like I'm overseas, it's pretty legit. The portions are big, but it is a bit pricey. I think the best time to go to Al-Jazeera is when they have buffets. Every Friday they have one, for like $13/person. It's worth it, they have plenty of great options usually...and a giant lamb roast in the middle, set on a large mound of rice. A dude just stands there slicing it up and serving it to everyone. The space can get kind of cramped. The service is ok. Sometimes, the waitresses get a little sassy, which can actually be entertaining with the right group. I think they also do buffets for iftar, but I've never been there for that, so I'm not sure. If you go during normal hours and order off of the menu, get the lamb. Their lamb dishes are the best. There's one with lamb in a kind of broth, get that! I don't remember what it's called, but I'd definitely say that's the most flavorful, juiciest, most tender lamb dish they offer.
The best lamb meat i have tasted in the US!
Excellent food but poor ambiance. Not ideal for family. Might be good for take out. But we really enjoyed the food. Large portions and good price. Will return.
Average tasting bread, hummus and tabouli. We did not order main entrees. Service was a little slow, despite it not being that busy. Popular spot for cabbies. I may return.
