KFC landed in Australia in 1968 when the first store was opened in Guildford, Sydney NSW. Today KFC serves 2 million customers every week (that's a lot of chicken) through over 600 stores across Australia. This makes KFC one of the largest fast food chains in the country. We are passionate about serving our customers freshly prepared, great tasting food with a key part of this being The Colonel's signature blend of 11 herbs and spices. Even today these remain a secret with the original recipe under lock and key in our headquarters in Kentucky, USA.
A halal certificate is clearly visible on the premises. This is one of several Halal KFCs in the Melbourne area. Most of the chicken products sold at this KFC are Halal, except at times for those promotional or seasonal items, such as popcorn chicken. You can ask the KFC counter staff about the Halal status of new menus.
Score reflects a halal certificate on file.
Absolutely amazing taste with clear conscience of it being Halal certified. Only the nuggets and pop corn are not certified. Rest are Halal praise be to Allah. The spicy zinger burgers are a bit expensive thats all. Hope to live beside it.
I had one of the worst fast-food experiences ever at the Fawkner KFC branch. The customer service was absolutely terrible – staff at the drive-through window were rude, careless, and had zero interest in serving properly. If this is the standard of hospitality at this store, it is truly unacceptable. The food itself was just as disappointing. What I received was poorly cooked, bland, and far from fresh. It honestly felt like no effort was made at all in preparing the order. For a global brand like KFC that promises consistency, this branch completely fails to deliver even the basics. What shocked me the most, however, was the state of the kitchen. From the drive-through window I could clearly see how dirty, messy, and unhygienic it was. Food preparation areas looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time, and staff seemed to have no regard for cleanliness. This raises serious concerns about food safety, and I can only imagine how many people have been served meals prepared in such conditions. Overall, this store is an embarrassment to the KFC name. It was a complete waste of time and money, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this branch altogether. Until management steps in and fixes the disgraceful service, poor food standards, and shocking hygiene, this location deserves nothing more than a 1-star rating.
