This place is awful for service and for the quality of food. I have been here twice now and there won't be a third as they consistently like to serve cold food here ! Very disappointing service too with not so interested staff waiting for miracles to happen. Very poor !

Went there with family after seeing the impressive-looking decor. Disappointed from start to finish. Tiny portions, poor quality, excessive waiting times and excessively priced!

This place is really good. Firstly the most noticeable thing is the decor and interior of the building. Very nice. The second good thing about this place is the staff, so friendly however since ive been here quite a few times they have replaced the satff. there used to be a few girls who used to work but dont work here no more. Some people might get put off as its only male staff which work. The food is very good, especially the home made burger, some people might think its expensive but its homemade, not like what 99% kebab houses do which give processed beef burger which give you cancer with all the chemicals and preservatives added. People in this area thing about price only. The Steaks are very good as well. I recommend this place to people. Oh check out the desserts, you will be amazed.

Nice decor outside and in. Spacious. Choice of seating areas. We had the mixed grill which is supposed to be 3 skewers worth of chicken tikka and lamb. It didnt look that much on the plate. The half chicken platter was dry. Roasted vegetables were ok. Mango juice was bitter. Tea was nice. Service was average. Prices were a bit high for the quality of food served. Overall though, it was the sama same as any other place. Nothing special.

Visited on the evening of Friday 1st October 2010: Definately one of the best middle eastern restaurants I have been to in recent times. The prices are exceptionally good. For example, £7 for a mix grill which comprises of one stick each of lamb, chicken and mince kebabs, plus a choice of sides (such as corn on the cob, fries, roasted veg etc). Very clean interior. As per normal, I paid a visit to the toilets to inspect for cleanliness as this is always a good indicator of how seriously a place takes it's cleanliness. If the publically accessible toilets are bad then just imagine what the inaccessible kitchens are going to be like?! Glad to say that the toilets were very clean indeed. Bear in mind though that this is a newly opened establishment (12 weeks according to the owner). The grill items are cooked in front of you. They even ask how you would like your steak done (as opposed to the assumption that you want it done as tough as leather at most other muslim owned places). They have a seperate dessert counter which sells many ice creams and cakes as well as various hot drinks. Cakes are about £1.50 per slice, and drinks are similarly well priced - about £1.30 for a hot choc or £1.70 for latte. Ice creams are £1.50 a scoop. When we visited, there wasn't a huge selection of ice creams unfortunately. Steak knives were lacking, but the owner acknowledged this and advised they were already on order, but these should already have been in place given the establishment has been open nealy 3 months already. The person who greets and seats you had some issues with speaking English. This is something the owners need to rectify as soon as possible as I was actually tempted to walk out there and then. This is a pet hate for me: muslim establishments that assume you can speak whatever language they speak on account of having the same skin colour. This is England, not Pakistan or the UAE - learn to speak in English please. To be fair, these were the only gripes I had. Luckily these are minor issues that can be rectified quite quickly. Fortunately, this establishment scores very highly in the important areas such as quality of food, quantity, speed of service, time for food to arrive, cleanliness & hygiene, aesthetics and overall value for money. I really wish them well as this kind of establishment is exactly what is needed for modern muslims in the west midlands who are fed up of eating curry all day long. Unfortunately, I think they've chosen the wrong area to open up. Small Heath is full of muslims who are fairly insular and unlikely to change their eating habits. If curry was good enough for grandad then it's good enough for them - that is the local ethos. Anyway, long story short: go there. Tonight. You won't regret it.
