Place looks like a cabi joint. Food was ok, i\'ve had better Somali food. They were shy with the portions for the price.
I ate at Hamdi's during my visit to Minneapolis. It was my first taste of Somali food, so I can't compare the standard to other places. I ate the goat, my father ate the beef, and we both enjoyed our meals alhamdulillah. The decor is poor, and service informal and slow - but I found the waiting staff to be friendly, masha'Allah. Don't go for the ambiance, but do stay for the food!
Good Somali food..they don't have a large menu, basically you pick the meat (chicken, beef/steak, goat or fish) with either rice or noodles or paratha (& don't forget the banana!) Their clientele is 99.9% Somali so as a non-somali person, you need to know your place:) (basically somalis will walk right in front of you and start talking to the cashier or others will get served before you)..I ignore these things and just get my food and go home & eat..this one server knows me and he tries to be friendly but it's true, service is not the best..but food is good and with limited options for halal restaurants, you make your choice..food or service. I go with good Food! I'm realistic enough to know that it's too much to expect great service at restaurants operated by new immigrants..so just enjoy the halal food and go your way:)
I do not like this place at all! The food is average, I can think of other Somali restaurants in the area whose food is actually delicious! Their service is specially horrible! They ignore customers, take too long, sometimes even help customers that came after you first!
Nice and clean place. The staff are very friendly as usually in all Somali restaurants. The food is delicious.
Best food you in city a nd all halal food
