Tonight we ate at Kabobji. We were eating late after 9pm so they are halal (verbally confirmed multiple times) and it is Sunday night and they are open till 11 pm (hard to find here). The restaurant is easy to find, in a huge strip mall on the north side of the 163rd with lots of easy parking. The restaurant is NOT in the shady part of 163rd- its really in the aventura part more east. You can eat inside or out, we chose inside. The decor is lovely with beautiful things to look at on the walls while you wait. The chicken shawarma sandwich was reasonably priced and was delicious. Not a huge sandwich, it was wrapped in a toasted pita- and was warm and had alot of chicken in it. We also ordered the filet mignon kebab which came with fries and a fattoush salad. The best Fattoush salad I have ever had, perfect seasoning and really crispy chips. The filet was perfectly cooked ( we had to wait 25 mins for it ) boo, but it was ridiculously delicious. The meat was tender and perfectly medium. and Halal! Yay! I felt for basically 22 bucks for it- it really should have been more meat. It was like four chunks about 1.5in each. 8oz- really? They had it kebabed with mushrooms, shallot, red and yellow peppers- which were yummy- but I still didn't quite feel the value on this item. I will however go back- we saw many entrees and appetizers that were huge and came out much quicker. Service was great- the head of the wait staff was so friendly and kind- he made us feel welcome.

Been here twice. Turkish coffee was great once. Second time was a disaster. Main course and chicken shourmas are great.
