Omg I went to the self serve and started to scan my items the worker stood right behind me watching my every move I felt so uncomfortable so I asked him if he would like to scan my shopping he replied no I'm just doing my job I said really watching me that close he continued watching me so I left all the shopping and walked out what a joke they've taken it way too far I won't shop their again horrible experience
Multiple items past their expiry date, mouldy fruit on display just a shambles overall
I've just returned home from this store and feel compelled to write this review. I arrived 15 minutes before closing to pick up a few items quickly including bottled water. This was the only store open in my area at this late time. Tbh I havent been into this store for many many months. There was an employee at the door as I was leaving who greeted me goodnight. When I put the multipack of water bottles in the boot the packaging collapsed from my hands and the bottles rolled all over the floor. He could have turned a blind eye after what was I'm sure a long and busy shift but this man ran up to my car, apologised for what had happened and even attempted to wipe the bottles clean with his hands as he picked them back up. Thank you again for providing fantastic customer service. Based upon my experience tonight I will be doing my weekly shop at your store this week. I wish I had taken his name but if management want I'm sure they can identify him. Thank you again.
Decent enough store but I take major exception at the carrier bag policy at the self service checkouts. The bags are about 40p now which is pricey but not exactly unaffordable. There are none available to pick up. Instead, I have to ask a member of staff to provide me with one who then goes into a closed door cabinet and gets one out and then follows you or loitters around you to make sure you scan the barcode and pay for it. Is this what we have become? The might Great Britain has now become so poor that we're hiding 40p bags??? Feels like I'm doing something naughty and have to beg to have a bag. Takes away from the whole experience and I won't be going there again until that policy is changed. Give us bloody bags for crying out loud. I'm sure there are some stupid people who will try to pinch one but why punish the majority of your customers? Stop it!
They have got huge collection. I love shopping from here after Aldi. Prices are bit higher as compared to Aldi but they have got more variety then Aldi. Friendly staff.
