I went here on Eid Nov 2012 after the Eid prayer. The place was packed but we managed to get a place. I ordered a chicken shuwarma, my husband a meat kebab plate and my brother had lamb chops or steak, can't remember which. The waiter heard us complain to each other about the small size of my brother's dish and he very kindly gave us a complimentary piece of meat, so I think it was lamb chops then. I asked for a small bowl of yogurt which isn't on the menu and the waiters remembered to bring us despite the crowd. The chicken shuwarma was the best I have ever had. I've had shuwarmas very all over the world, UAE, Saudi, Turkey, and here in Birmingham had the best. I think the chicken was barbequed to perfection before shearing and putting into a wonderful wrap. You have got to try this place out!
Alrabie Firstly, it is a very nice family oriented place. The food was excellent. Also, the staff are very friendly. WOULD RECOMMEND!
I go to this restaurant once a month as I dont live in the area anymore. I have been to this restaurant for 2 years when I found out about it on the internet. I adore arabic food but its not always good. i have been to many arabic restaurants in UK, France and other countries including arabic countries. I have never eaten as well as in Bader. The staff knows me very as I am probably the only European person going there regularly. Plus i speak Arabic and the staff knows that. The food is amazing. I tried all the dishes and i am always looking forward to my monthly trip to go there. Yes the service is long but this place is very popular and they r very busy. i dont mind waiting and i can have a chat to the staff :) the food is well worth the wait. the decor, i dont care but i find this place quite peaceful. theres enough to eat on the plate and the food isnt expensive. this is the best restaurant for me , considering any type of food. well done. alf mabruuk. al-akl ladhiidh jiddan.
Nice food shame about the slow service at times. The steak I ordered was nice and well grilled also the fish was well cooked over the charcoal makes a refreshing change to other places.
Good quality food. Average priced for the area. Decor was not so good especially in the family rooms. The fact that they have family rooms is a good thing, but they could with redecorating those. Waiting time when we went there was quite excesive. I had to chase the staff several times just to get served and to finally received our drinks (Took twenty minutes or so for those to arrive). Very busy establishment, just like the other popular places nearby. This means the food obviously must be good and indeed it is. They need to sort out the decor a bit and try and take on more staff. Didn't get a chance to check the toilets but I will do that next time I visit. Definately worth visiting.
Was very busy when visited and service took a long time, but when the food arrived it was worth the wait. My friend recommended the chicken wings, which I am not usually keen on. However, I was converted. The rice and other dishes were also very tasty. Shwarmas not too good Momo's are better. Cakes and sweet dishes ordinary, they were selling cake slices from the local Costco for £2 where the whole cake (about 12 slices) cost £6. Would definitely come back though!
First time round enjoyed the food. However on the second visit I changed my mind! Shawarma was cold and dry. Steak was hard and cold too never again!
nice food nice mezes i enjoyed there shish tawouk the enivroment was relaxed and they let us use there family room for extra privacy
The best restaurant on Coventry Road in my opinion. The food is always fresh and prepared daily. The shish tawook (chicken cubes) cooked over coals is excellent as is the salmon. Fresh soup is always available as well with freshly made bread. Arab pastries are pretty good as well. The waiters can be slow at times is the only real downside to this place.
