The ambiance is decent, and they have a small outside sitting area too. The crew is friendly and courteous. That's all there is to this restaurant. During my travel routine, I always make sure to try out local restaurants that provide halal food. This one won't be in my book of recommendation. I chose the $15 combo kabob platter, which includes small portion of all sorts of kabobs. To my dismay, the quality of the food was far below par, in comparison to all other middle eastern restaurants I have been to. Indeed quite unfortunate, as I simply wasted my appetite tonight. It is highly likely that I would come back here soon, may be down the road when others started providing better reviews. Recommend you exercise caution before selecting this restaurant for a nice dinner.

Food quality not that great as NYC, I had Kabab yesterday -- they warm it up, not sure when the cooked. Also, please ask before you order, all the meats are not HALAL as per the server.

An NYC legend which has been featured in the book "1000 Places To See Before You Die" is known for its outstanding middle eastern fare. They serve fresh falafel sandwiches and juicy lamb shawarmas. Hands Down the best Halal restaurant that we've been to. I like that fact that Mamoun's Falafel makes the own food and it is not part of a chain like NY Chicken & Biscuit or Popeye's Chicken. This gives them freedom to make their own halal food recipes and not hide from the franchise owner or even worse mix halal with non halal. Their Ceylon Tea and Turkish coffee is rockin'

A pretty standard Middle Eastern restaurant located right near the Yale campus. The lamb shawarmas and hummus were good, but nothing outstanding.
