Owners are muslims. They cut and prepare in front of you. Chicken are in cages and look tired but its the city. Better than frozen stuff. Pay by lbs. 2 med chicken for approx 20 dollars. Good to have zabihah fresh. No need for a certificate.

Both owners are Muslim . They used to do wholesale to 5 star restaurants in downtown , and also to halal grocery store . Now they just want to focus on the customer so they no longer do wholesale . They speak English Arabic and Spanish . They have A Muslim and Christian butcher on duty everyday . On Jewish holidays they bring in a rabbi . All chickens are Organic and Amish bread . The Amish are very humane people and they treat chickens good . When i go there , they let me butcher my own chickens. you can have them pick one out for you or you can pick your own . I think there price is like $1.69lb its a little more expensive then a jewel or walmart , but you get what you pay for . I think its the best butcher shop ive been to in America . It reminds me of my home country . Enjoy
