While Carifesta may not be impressive looking (one table and about 4 chairs, no wait staff etc.), I can say that their food is way ahead of any other Guyanese style Chinese restaurant on Liberty Avenue. Their fried rice was superb and the chicken in the rough was moist, flavorful and tender. I didn't finish it all (big portions) and every family member who went into the kitchen sampled the leftovers. They all wanted to know where the food was from because it was so good. I would recommend takeout as opposed to trying to eat in, but Carifesta is definitely a must try.

I ordered their Jerk Chicken Fried Rice. My plan was to eat half and take the rest home. I ended up eating the whole thing and ordering a second dish to take home. I especially liked the fried rice. It was distinctively different from any the other fried rices I have even tasted.
