Lilla Karachi

Went with a group of 10 - visiting Stockholm from the UK for a conference. Assured that all the food was Halal. Good quality food and had a pleasant evening there.

I have been living in Stockholm for some years and knew about Lilla Karachi. I just went there once since i didn't had good feedback about the halal assurance, price, quantity and taste. The only reason to go there would be South Asian Food. The fact that they just verbally assure that it's halal (not written anywhere), serve Alcohol, have comparatively high price for very less quantity of food and with no exceptional taste, makes me not to recommend it.

A very nice small restaurant conveniently located in the centre of Stockholm and appropriately decorated. No halal sign on the window or menu but received verbal assurance from Anjum (the waiter). He assured that now he will add "Halal" sign to the menu. By the way owner is from Bangladesh and is also a muslim. A meal for two cost us about £75 and it was very nice. I will not classify it "excellent" but it was good tasty eatable food for which I will definitely go back again when in Stockholm. The waiter described that this is how Swedish people like it (who were the main customers).
