California Steak & Fries

Not sure how to contact owner. I would suggest they open Orange County so many muslims and no steak and fries. Please seomeon tell the owner to come to the OC, Cerritos Mall, Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress anywhere will be good.

They make the halal and non halal stuff on the same grill and use the same tools. You can ask them to clean the grill before getting halal items. I used to love this place but don't go there anymore because I'm not convinced of their cleaning

Cross contamination. They should have a seperate grill for halal meat. If your going to serve halal meat within your establishment then do it right.

Food is really really really good!

Ate here realized halal is cooked with non halal so the burger grease goes into halal burgers... Umm so is still halal. Owners need to make a deprecate griddle plate to keep the halal from non halal meat, Otherwise it's not halal.

Outside of the front building there is a huge "Halal" sign. However after we ate we realized that there was an extra charge for .25 cents for use of halal meat. I am assuming they may cook non halal along with halal on the same grills but am not sure. We already ate there w/o knowing so pls confirm if you want to try it out.

Average! The sandwiches are not tasty. Not all items are halal. The thought of the food being delicious, was just a thought...darn..

Verbal assurance from staff that all Beef, Steak and Chicken are Halal - although not all items are halal, so need to ask which ones to make sure. Tried the Beef Steak Sandwich and it was okay. The bread was not that good and bottom part fell apart. Not very spicy (even though we asked for spicy). The fries were good though. Friendly service.

Good food for reasonable price. However, not everything is halal here, only the beef and chicken cheese steak sandwich is halal. Make sure to mention you want Halal.

this place is amazing, i used to get there sandwiches for hot lunch at my school. the owners son is really good friend of mine.

Absolutely excellent. The owner is a very nice Jordanian man who welcomed us warmly. The food is halal and very good for the price. Well done.

Went to this place today and ordered a spicy chicken fiesta. The food was excellent. The order didn't took more than 5 minutes. Yes, you have to ask for Halal and it cost 50 cents now (which is fine). Confirm the Halal food from the bill as well. Halal should be mentioned on the bill.

Spicy steak fiesta sandwich with grilled onions and cheese was awesome! So was the chicken teriyaki sandwich. The meat was tender juicy and fresh! Masha Allah they have a big Halal sign just below the name. But as others have suggested here we need to mention we want Halal food. and politely make sure and confirm that the cashier ordered for Halal sandwiches to avoid any possibility of human error.

Great food and large portions. A half sandwich is enough to fill most people up. I've been there a few times and I've liked everything so far except the buffalo chicken sandwich. buffalo sauce just doesn't taste good in sandwich form. Other than that their steak sandwiches and other chicken sandwiches were very tasty.

Finally a Real Steakhouse Sandwich place that is Halal. I ordered a Steak Sandwich and 'You Must Ask for Halal Meat Prior to Ordering (25 Cent Extra)" The second I took a bite of that sandwich was one the best mouthwatering juicy tender steak sandwich I had in my life. Please try this place out for your self and you'll know what I mean.

Place is very spacious and Clean. Service is really good as the staff is very friendly and welcoming. While all the meat is Halal, ONLY the Steak and Chicken is Zabihah (this was confirmed by the staff). You must ask for the Zabihah steak and/or chicken.
