Delicious food. Dim Sums selection is a must try. Ordered the Peppered Calamari, Masya Allah it tasted heavenly. The staff spoke little English, but there is an English menu to assist you in the selection
So happy to be back here. Dim sum were really good! It's right behind Charterhouse Hotel (you could go through it's carpark from Wan Chai road). Good food at affordable prices! Syukran!
The place to-go-to for halal dim sum and Chinese-style food. Prices are reasonable and food is good. Prayer place is also provided.
Halal food but my son says that his grandmother's food is nicer than the dim sum.
excellent food inside the islamic center. you must go there for dim sum. incredible.
The food here is delicious! We walked from our hotel Regal iClub Hotel in Wan Chai and it took us less than 5mins to reach here. My advice is to go between 11.30-3pm to get a taste of both their wonderful dimsums and their cantonese dishes like seafood fried rice. They will have their staff lunch at 11am so don't bother ordering while they are eating. Also,if u don't speak Mandarin or Chinese(coz they know little English) juz show them the menu what u would like to order and they will serve u correctly.Their rice portion is quite large so unless u are not very hungry,u may share the plate of seafood fried rice.Overall,i love this place for their food.
It opens at 10am and it will only serve main dish at 11am, so basically we ate the popular dim sum which is good!easy to locate, when u exit wan chai cross over to the right then walk straight about 10 mins theres a 711, u turn right follow the path which will lead u there
they have some good food. unfortunately dim-sum is not served for dinner. the place is spacious. service was OK. prices are cheaper than other halal rests near.
Opening hours when we were there was 10.00 - 15.00 and 18.00 - 21.00 (last order). We actually went there a few times during our stay and enjoyed the Cantonese food there. My rating is for the food and not their service.
Alumdullilah, we went there on two occassions recently and were not disappointed with the DimSum. Also tried the mutton satay and beef noodles. The mutton satay was above average and the beef noodles were a bit greasy and average. I would recommend getting there before 3 pm and sticking to the DimSum menu.
Food here was edible but forgettable. Perhaps it was because of the bad service we encountered. The lady who took the order confused our order. My sister ordered noodles but was given Chicken Rice. How can that be when we did not even say RICE at all. Waitress refused to bring back the rice and even forced us to eat the dish. She did not even apologised for her error. I ordered the Prawn Dumpling soup, which turned out ok. Its just soup with vegetables and bout 6-8 pieces of shrimp dumplings inside. There's no rice. You have to order rice separately. Make sure you write your order no lest the waitress confused your order. They hardly understand English. Helps if you can converse in basic Cantonese or Mandarin to ensure food ordered is correct. This place is hard to find. Do remember that their Dim Sums are served from 10am to 3pm only. No Dim Sums will be served after that time. So go early, don't be like me. I went in the evening and left HK very disappointed as I didn't get to try the Dim Sums. Will only return here to try the Dim Sums. Otherwise, poor service.
The only halal dim sum outlet in Hong Kong that I know of. There's a good variety of chinese food and dim sum. Big portion and reasonably priced. Not a place to be missed, although the workers can come across rough and have to refill own pot of tea and 'tapow' our own.
It's at the Islamic Centre, so there really cannot be any doubt as to whether it's Halal or not. The food served is authentic Chinese fare, including dim sum. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. Prayer facilities is a no brainer, since it's a mosque. Always worth a visit whenever you're in Hong Kong.
I simply loves the variety of foods at a reasonable price. I like the authentic style of dim sum in its wooden box like container. The food is tasty and filling. Simply loves the rice dumplings
Good Cantonese food. Must try their Fried Chicken and Prawn Rolls. this is the place to go if u wanna try authentic Cantonese food without the pork and lard.
Great place. Fifth floor of an islamic center. Great masjid, nice restaurant, great food. It is cheap also. Sundays are extremely crowded, but i just loved it. I was staying at the Renaissance Harbor Hotel (most of the 5-star hotels were around that place) and this was about 5-6 minutes walk from there ,all through the connectors, so i dint have to worry even if it was raining.
Strong recommended restaurant for group handling under Muslim Package. Food is good and delicous. - RM Travel & Tours, KUL. Managing Director
The two gentleman(waiters)were very helpful.Food is very good and tasty.Visited the place twice during my trip and very sastified with the services. The prices very reasonable.Must try their beef dishes and their dim sum. It's worth it.
Casual, cafeteria-style atmosphere- very nice, friendly staff. Extensive menu; best part is it is in 8-story beautiful Islamic center; easy location. We have been relying on this place for our meals while in Hong Kong.
It is opened again on 3.6.05. I just visited on 22.6.05.Food is tasty and clean with resonable price. It is actually on the fifth floor of Islamic Centre. Masjid is on the second floor. It is a must to try all variety of dim-sum.
