The Royal Thawa is situated in the historic market town of Kendal, The Lake District. Conveniently located in the town centre near the riverside car park, the Royal Thawa offers a wide selection traditional Indian dishes and some exclusive recipes you won't find anywhere else. Our most popular options include The New Bangadeshi Royal Thawa dish. These are available in a wide variety of options including chicken tikka, prawn, chicken and lamb. The Royal Thawa is an ideal location for a business lunch as we provide free WiFi to oour customers. Our £6.95 3 course lunch is available between 12 noon - 2pm.

This restaurant is NOT halal as claimed. The workers say ONLY the chicken and lamb dishes are 'halal' - not a FULL menu as said here but if you read the menu almost ALL the dishes are cooked in CIDER,BRANDY OR SOME OTHER KIND OF ALCOHOL! Is this 'halal'? No! It's a very dodgy place with dodgy people. I recommend you stay WELL AWAY from The Royal Thawa if your in Kendal.
