A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant. From the website: 'We use only Halal meat.'
Maryland's best family restaurant to find fresh, casual, authentic Pakistani-Indian kabob and curry cuisine. KNK is fully Alcohol free & Halal restaurant. Open Sunday-Thursday from 11am-12 midnight and Friday-Saturday from 11am-1am.

I had the opportunity to eat at this place on first day of Ramadan. Two words, chicken karahi! Hands out, the best outside of Pakistan.
Excellent food! Loved their chicken boti. They have different weekday specials which are $8.99 and come with a naan and a vegie side. Also you can choose from their grill menu or traditional karahis etc. Would definitely go again and try more dishes.
Best kabob place around I mean amazing I go here every once in awhile and I live 1 hour away so yeah it's pretty good especially their shekh kabob witch is to die for if you want good kabob or really ent thing that they sell you have to go to kabob and Karahi
Bad service Owner shouts at the customers No coordination and no regard for manners in Islam They need to significantly improve their service and taste Well wisher
This place has been a hit or a miss for me. The restaurant is almost always packed (lunch or dinner). I mostly go there for the nihari on the weekends and there have been times when it's cold or too fatty. I would certainly recommend the place.
This non Zabihah propaganda is all nonsense, I have been going to that place since they started, they buy meat/chicken from the same source as the next door Indus food or across the street Indian Chinese restaurant, if anyone of you non zabihah propagandists needs a proof or facts, I am happy to provide them. I have never eaten any non zabihah in my life and also not planning on doing it in the future. Remarks like these should be immediately removed from the review section until the objection made has been verified by the site manangement.
MEAT SERVED IS HALAL- We have been to this place many times with family and the owner and management confirmed that the meat served is solely halal. We also saw a halal approved certificate on the wall. The food is amazing, everything we ate was delicious and fresh. They serve all kinds of Karahi's and kabobs freshly made to order. Best Lamb chops in town!
Be aware does not use zabihah halal meat when asked about where they purchased meat from they respond they just buy cheap and it's not insane to buy cheap, means they don't care about serving zabihah halal they only want to buy cheap he said I'm a business man and I want to buy cheap period. For the record they buy meat from the palce they get meat from it is mention on their web site all their meat is machine slaughter.
Chicken at this restaurant is not Zabiha Halal, its machine cut chicken, which is against sunnah, if you care about Zabiha Halal meat, just not only the taste of food, then this is not the place. _____________________________________________________________ 7/9/2013 in response to Mkdamani1, what are your facts, please post them. I have talked to employees and called the place where they get their meet from, its not Zabiha. Please post for facts. Thanks
kabob n karahi only serve zabihah HALAL meat and I know this for a fact.been going there for 5 years!
They don't have zabiha meat all machine slaughter.
Probably one of the best karahi/ bbq u can get in this area. Love their Paye/Nihari / chaney. Reccomended
Really tasty food and your all penny worth here. Do try kabob karahi.
Reasonably priced. Roomy. Tasty food. We usually get the karahi. We like goat and chicken better than others. You get your order ready in no time though it is always busy
Asa, absolutely amazing food, naans were fantastic, karahi tasted great but the masala was a little on the thin side, kabobs tasted great, very busy place mashallah, lots of parking, great place to eat if you are visiting from out of town.
Really friendly atmosphere and they're open late. Probably the restaurant I hit up most in the area, especially since MCC is nearby. I recommend the chat samosa, chicken seekh kabob, chicken tikka w/ bone, goat/chicken karahi. Top it off with some chai and call it a night.
Great food, decent prices. The others have said what needs to be said. Karahi is good, kabobs are excellent, they have some really amazing lamb. Their biryani is also pretty good.
Really good food. I recommend the lamb chops. Chicken biriyani and the chicken tikka with bones are equally delightful. I have yet to try more of their menu items.
I understand that not many people eat Brain masala but this place serves the Bestest Magaz Karahi in town! It is always wise to call ahead of time to make sure that they carry it as they are usually out of it... (wonder why? .. when Indus Grocery is right next to the restaurant)!
This place has really really good Karhai (chicken or goat) - these guys and Ravi are almost right up there when you want togo for Karhai or BBQ entries.
I've been to this restaurant multiple times. My experience with food has been great. The fact that they serve karahi in the "karahi" (i.e. dish) gives it a very authentic touch. Karahi itself has always been very delicious, same is true for the beef seekh kababs.
We visited this restaurant during Ramadan. They have free iftar for guests...a very nice and welcome touch. The food we ordered was not very good. The chicken biriyani was old and the meat was very dry...it had been sitting out way too long. The somasas were cold and when we complained about it they simply zapped them in the microwave. The lamb chops were good, however. I would recommend this place if you happen to be in the neighborhood but not if you have to travel for a bit to get there.
The food here is good. Prices could be better. The staff isn't as friendly and welcoming as they could be. But, delicious halal / zabihah food nonetheless.
Best lamb chops you can find anywhere. Also delicious karhai
The nihari (only served on weekends) was good. Wasn't as spicy as I like, but they have all of the fixins to customize it according to taste. Good service. I recommend.
I went to Kebob & Karahi yesterday for dinner with my friend. The food was ok. I ordered the Lamb Boti and they were under cooked. You can steal the concept from Ravi Kebab but it does not make you a Ravi Kebab. This outfit is owned by former Ravi Kebob Arlington VA emplyee. He get little offended if you mention Ravi Kebon name. But food is okay.
Great Chicken Biryani, Haleem (Chicken), Karahi Chicken and Kadi Pakoda. Yet to try other items, but the Chicken Biryani is so good that I end up eating that almost every time we visit the restaurant! Its kind of a self-service dhaba, so don't expect dining service.
subhanallah. great food. clean. Chicken Karahi is awesome. Kabobs are good as well.
I was very pleased to find a kabob place in Maryland that can stand up to Ravi and Kabob Palace in Virginia. I had the lamb chops, they were oustanding. Most of the other dishes here are really good as well, and it's pretty clean - not far from MCC either.
I love this place. Great Service, very neat, clean with lots of space and a nice setting. I had the Nihari and Haleem and they were excellent. Great place to go for South Asian food !
Great food and service. Cholay and Karahi are awesome. Kabobs are pretty good.
100% Halal, excellent food, great service and very clean and comfortable atmosphere. If you are looking for desi food, this is the best place on this side of Maryland.
Food is not excellent. Their chicken karahi is not as good as kabab palace in DC but I guess good enough for a local area. Food is overpriced. Chicken Tikka comes as a 'meal' which means 3-4 small pieces of meat, side salad, cholay, rice, naan etc. When I order chicken tikka, I want chicken tikka. $8+ bucks for a couple of pieces of meat and a few cheap sides - doesn't cut it. If you order a Karahi, it takes at least 45 minutes! Lamb Karahi takes over an hour! If you call yourself a karahi place... you need to have it our and ready. I appreciate fresh food but it can be made throughout the day and ready as customers come.
Great Place to Eat/Hang out with friends or family. Food Quality/Service exceptionally good, lot of Parking and Seating, Clean. Prices are very reasonable e.g. Chicken Karahi for only $15.99. I will Recommend it to everybody, Overall Great Experience!
I visited this joint today and I was pleased with entire experience. They have plenty of parking and very easy to locate as it's already next to a popular Pakistani Grocery Store. They have plenty of seating and very clean look. Nice and tidy bathrooms. Food prices are reasonable and could be lower. Serving was ok but I would prefer a bit more generous servings. I tried Chicken Jalfrezi which comes with one Naan, side order of rice and chickpeas. I loved the food and enjoyed the conversation with brother from Nepal who gave excellent customer service. I was happy to hear we will be getting Ravi Kabob experience close to home :-). I will certainly be a regular there and take family.
Kabob N Karahi has everything to offer: delicious food, friendly customer service, reasonable prices, and a great location. I would highly recommend Kabob N Karahi to everyone. What can I say, it's my new favorite place.
Great tasking food - great menu at an incredible price. I have heard that the cook used to work for Ravi Kabob. Great addition to Montgomery County -and very good location near MCC.
Great food and excellent service
