About Café Salma

Caf Salma is an authentic Halal Indian restaurant with an extensive menu to suit all tastes. In addition, there is a Moroccan restaurant in the basement. Prepare yourself for a warm welcome as the friendliness of the staff is second only to the gregarious proprietor, Hassan Melloul.

The food is good and flavourful, with a lot to choose from. The staff are nice and helpful too. The only shortage is fresh juices or lassi -those you always found in these kind of restaurants.

I used to go to cafe Salma a couple of years ago, havent been back since. Only because my hubby always prefers burgers from Chili grill which is next door. But Cafe Salma is a top notch resturaunt, in terms of its food. the naans are melt in your melt, the salans (curries) are flavourful and made with thought, no tons of bits of black pepper balls and elaichi just thrown in. High quality food prepared carefully. I have gone there about 4 times, and each time my whole family really loved it! I do recommend to try this place. Its nicely decorated as well.

Firstly the name is a little confusing the correct name is Cafe Salma. This place offers 2 seperate menus Morrocan and Indian. Website is www.cafesalma.com Authentic decor you would think you were in a cafe in morroco. I received an amazing welcome and while i waited for my food almost everyone walking in the door received the same warm and friendly welcome. I visted this place twice during my stay in glasgow. First visit i had a special biryani to take away. Amazing tandoori chicken with nuts and egg. Fantastic! On my second visit i deceided on a morrocan choice - amazing melt in your mouth chicken and lamb. Well worth a visit.
